Hello, Crafty Crafters! Crafty Gals Corner has put out a new challenge for this week (Week #43). This week's challenge is Anything Goes!

Our sponsors this week are:

The East Wind
Prize: 2 Digital Images

Stitchy Bear Digital Outlet
Prize: $10 Gift Certificate

Here is my challenge project for this week:
Lady Reading Vintage - Stitchy Bear Digitals

I had loads of fun with this digital! I love anything vintage or shabby chic! For this project, I decided to make a tag out of her. First, of course, I colored her in with my Prima watercolors. Then I cut out the size of chipboard I wanted, and put Gesso on it so the paint would adhere. I used my Shimmerz Inklings Watercolors. I absolutely love those! Those jars are small, but go a long way! After that, I had used texture paste on it but by the time I added all my other elements, it didn't show. But, oh well...things sometimes change in the middle of a project! I then used a Stampabilities "Faded Text Background" on it, because I thought that was appropriate since she was reading.

I then put lace on the top, first a wide blue/turquoise color, then layered a white one in the middle of that, the on the top edge, a heart lace. Of course I got those from Cindy's Lighthouse stop n' shop! ;-) Where else?? The eyelet border around the edge was the very last thing I put on.

I added a butterfly, a flower, and glass glitter from Reneabouquets, and the bottom right butterfly from ScrapbookingwithMe Boutique, along with the turquoise Glass Beads, Shimmerz, and flat-backed pearls. I wanted her dress to be extra special, so I added Glass Glitter from Renea's onto her dress.

She actually didn't take long to do at all! Quick, fun, and yet so elegant! I hope you join in on the fun at Crafty Gals Corner Challenges! I can't wait to see all the projects!!

This week is Challenge #42 from Crafty Gals Corner!

The challenge for the week is Ribbons AND/OR Flourishes!

Our sponsor this week is:

All Dressed Up
Prize: 2 Digital Images

The Stamping Boutique
Prize: $12 Gift Certificate

Here is my project for the challenge:

All in all, this is a pretty simple and quick Christmas card, but it turned out so cute! I love this digital! It's call 3 Little Girls from All Dressed Up. I just got out a base fold for the card and embossed it. Then, after coloring the girls (they're adorable!), I cut around the image and placed it on top of the embossed part of the card. I slightly distressed it with TH Tea Stain distress ink before placing it on the card. I put a little bit of Glass Glitter on the starts (Reneabouquets). I then added strips of ribbon that were in the same color line as my colored image, glued 3 bows on the top left side, added a snow butterfly from Renea's, then glued an applique I got from Cindy of Lighthouse stop n' shop (Facebook page), and then added a snowflake and a rhinestone on top of the applique. And then I was done! Easy, simple, and cute!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you join in on the fun at Crafty Gals Corner Challenges too!

God bless, Jeanie

Here is a project I did for a challenge on Facebook by Reneabouquets.  So I decided to take a piece of scrap wood and turn it into Autumn Art. I used all the colors of Autumn that would blend well with the butterflies I bought from her boutique. I started out with a base acrylic red, watered down some. Then I took my TH tea stain ink pad and just randomly swiped it up and down on the board. Next thing I did was my leaf stenciling. I used Ranger texture past I bought from her also, and used the heat gun on it to dry. Then I took another stencil from TH (the black specks you see there), and used Studio 490 black embossing paste I had bought from ScrapbookingwithMe Facebook page. Before I allowed it to dry, I sprinkled in Renea's glass glitter (diamond). And I let it tried a few minutes, shook off any excess glitter, and then used my heat gun on it. I proceeded to paint the leaves. I used partly acrylic paint and partly Shimmerz (bought at SWMB). I glued the flowers and butterflies (Renea's) , lace, and an embellishment on the corner, and then randomly put Renea's micro beads on the board, and then a few swirls of orange paint. I put ribbon around the outer edges.

It came out so much better than I thought! I basically just winged it, but it was so fun to do!! Thanks for stopping by!

God bless, Jeanie (scrapbookingmamaw)

I discovered through Chic Craftique on Facebook a new craft (for me, anyway). I made one and thought I'd share how I did it by making a 2nd one. These are super easy and fun! I hope you try one out too!

Challenge #40: DUDE! (10/7)

This week the challenge is DUDES!

Our sponsor this week is:

KennyK.
Prize: 3 digital images

HERE IS MINE! And believe me, this was a challenge for me, because I usually do so much "girly" projects! This little guy is going to be my grandson's birthday card (it's in December). So at least now I have his card done, right? ;-)

This is a pretty basic card. Folded in half, it's overall measurements are 5"x6". I cut the blue mat a 1/4" smaller then the red cover, and the white 1/4" smaller than the blue mat. I printed off the words from my printer, cut them to a banner shape, and then adhered them to the page. Of course, once again I used my Prima watercolors. I used Glossy Accents on a few places, and voila! It was done! The hardest part was the coloring, which in this case really was easy.

Let's see what "Dude" you create! Head on over to Crafty Gals Corner and show us what you've done! And have fun!

Here is a Shabby Chic Mini-Album that I just finished today. I was following the "LetsPlay" ScrapbookingwithMe YouTube Channel. One of the videos was by their DT Tammy Sims, whose project (with a secret word in EACH Hop video), was designing shabby chic project. Check it out here! And when you're done, start at the beginning here: Loretta Harwell's Let'sPlay YouTube Hop!

I also want to point out that I made this album as part of Chic Craftique's "Creatively Chic" Facebook Page, where members post their creations during a certain period of time and they randomly pick a winner. Join in the fun!

This is the cover. On the cover is a little cherub, butterfly, and tag made by Renea Harrison of Reneabouquets. Plus the rhinestone in the middle of the flower was purchased from her boutique. All the paper was bought from the ScrapbookingwithMe Boutique. Sweet Paris, Blue Fern and Debutante. I especially love the feel of the Blue Fern papers...they have an excellent quality!

I added a rhinestone brooch onto the spine. I bought that at Hobby Lobby (on sale, of course!).

This is the back cover. I want to make sure you know that I bought all my lace from Cindy's Facebook Page, Lighthouse stop n' shop. Her laces and appliques are of excellent quality! And you can't beat the price either!

This is the inside cover and 1st page. I placed Glass Glitter onto the Eiffel Tower. You can see it as well here, but it sure does shine in person!

All these pink butterflies, like this one, is handmade by Renea also.

The butterfly on the left is a free digi that I downloaded and then colored it myself.

Handmade flower bottom right

Another butterfly from Renea!

Back inside cover. I made a magnetic photo mat.

I hope you enjoyed looking this over. It didn't take as long as I thought it might, and I only burnt my fingers once....unfortunately, all at the same time! So be careful with that hot glue, if you use it!
