For this challenge, I chose to do 2 different projects. The first one is from STAMPlorations, using the Cupcake Frame & Sentiment. I figured instead of a card this time I'd make a cupcake box. I made it so it didn't necessarily have to be for a birthday, but it is for a girl. Here is the link to the tutorial I used for it: Sarah's Ink Spot Blog.

For my second project, I used the My Besties Christmas gift. I used pink glitter paper that I bought from the Scrapbooking with Me Boutique and gold glitter paper from Hobby Lobby. I got this double-gated fold card idea from Pinterest, but I forgot to write down which one. But, if you type in double-gated fold card you're sure to find one like it!

Again, here are the links for the Blog Hop! Be sure to go to each one...you never know what you could win! {Hugs! and Merry Christmas!} Jeanie, Scrapbookingmamaw

I thought I'd share some Money Card Holders that I made today. The brighter green you see is because I marked out the names on them. :-)  These were all made from an 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" Christmas cardstock. The I scored at 1/4" on 2 sides, turned the paper the other directions, and scored at 1 7/8" and 5 1/4". I cut from the top of the card where the 1 7/8" score was made along the 1/4" score line until I got the where I scored at the 5 1/4" line. I folded everything, taped the "tabs" that were made from the cut, and folded so it made a pocket. I got this idea from Pinterest, but I adjusted my lines to fit my need. Money holders all done!

Here we are, coming close to the end of the month of the 2015 Digitals! One more week to go and then 2016 begins with lots of challenges and more beautiful projects from the Crafty Gals Corner Blog! This week (#51) the challenge is Anything Goes!

Our sponsors this week are:

Bugaboo Stamps
Prize: 7 Digital Images

Now onto my project for this week's challenge! At first, I had a little trouble with it. When I printed it out to color it, I just couldn't get it together. The crafty part of my brain was apparently not wanting to cooperate. And then I suddenly hit a "brain storm". I'll print if off onto Glitter Paper I got from Hobby Lobby. And then glitter it up some more! I used regular glitter from my stash, and then added Diamond Glass Glitter on the body of the butterfly. The glitter is from Reneabouquets. I use this glitter on just about everything! My digital is called Silhouette Butterfly.

I used black cardstock and placed the gold glitter paper over it. There are a lot of tutorials on this type of card (I believe it was called the Joy fold.)  I had to add a little length to mine. I added lace and leaf fabric embellishments to the card. Once I figured out what type and shape of card I was going to do, it didn't take long to finish. I was very happy with the outcome!

Head on over to Crafty Gals Corner blog and send us your creation! I can't wait to see it!

Blessings, Jeanie

Paper Temptress Design Team Project

Hello, everyone! Here it is, so very close to Christmas, and I'm so not ready! I hope all have a very Merry Christmas! For my  Paper Temptress project today, I decided to make a scrapbooking photo card/mat. It can even be used for journaling, as it does have a Pocket in the back. I started out with the Silver Script Tease paper for the foundation of the card/mat by cutting out a large circle, then bringing up the bottom of the paper to about a third of the diameter of the paper. I then folded each of the sides toward each other, tucking one side into the other. I taped down the bottom so my mats wouldn't fall out. I then used the Skinny Column paper, black and silver, to make the mats. I LOVE that paper! I also used the Satin reversible stitched edge ribbon  (black/silver). The butterfly came from Reneabouquets and the pearl/rhinestone piece form Gone Artsy. This project can also be used as a card, too!

Blessings. Jeanie

Challenge #50: Anything Goes (12/16)

This week the challenge is Anything Goes!

Our sponsors this week are:

Eureka Stamps
Prize: 3 Digital Images

My Project this week was the Tea Maker Sentiment Digi. At first, I was wondering what I was going to do with it because I was used to coloring images. Haha! But then I thought...well, what better way to use it than on a card? Right?? So it really shouldn't have been so hard to figure that one out, but it was! (There are days I do that....) So, here is my project:

Every year, I have a Christmas Tea for my sisters and our daughters. As a special gift to me, they gave me a Gift Card to Hobby Lobby. So one of the things I bought was a Sizzix Die Cut called Happy Holidays. What a fun Die Cut this is! I plan on buying more of these types! ;-) Anyway, Everything on the card is from this diecut except, of course the Tea Maker sentiment, the pink flowers (from my friend Scrapbooking by Phyllis), and the blue beads on the right, which are from ScrapbookingwithMe Boutique. I used Tim Holtz distress ink around the edges of the card, leaves, and little blue flowers. I also outlined the edges of the pink flowers with Stickles, also from Phyllis. She had sent me a boxful of Angel Kisses! And of course, the lace is from Cindy's Lighthouse stop n' shop Facebook page.

What will you create this week for this Anything Goes challenge? Head on over to CraftyGalsCorner challenges and be sure to enter your project!

Blessings, Jeanie Ellis, Scrapbookingmamaw

Challenge #49: Anything Goes (12/9)

Hello, fellow crafters! We have a new challenge this week. And, of course, for the month, it's all ANYTHING GOES! So, have fun with it and let's see what you come up with! :-)

Faery Ink

Prize: 3 Digital Images

For this challenge, I used the Shyflower Faery. i decided I'd make a tag with her. I started out with a 4x6 chipboard, then I covered it with Sunshine Yellow from Paper Temptress on both sides of the chipboard. I then layered it with the White Laser Paper from the Laser Lustre Package. I inked up the Laser Paper with TH tea stain and squeezed lemonade so the colors would match up. After coloring the digital with my Prismacolors, I used glossy accents on the wings, her eyes, and top and sprinkled Diamond Glass Glitter form Reneabouquets and Gold Microbeads sprinkled on the right of the card. I placed her where I wanted, then placed yellow lace toward the bottom of the card and placed ribbon from Paper Temptress (Lemon Feather Edge) on top. I also made a yellow bow and placed it on the top right corner.  I stamped a fairy image I had in my stash with Versamark, and then embossed her with the Zing Gold Metallic. I placed her image on a circle, then layered that onto some of the yellow. I had made a rose out of mulberry paper and placed it onto red ribbon. The butterfly was given to me by a friend. Again, lace all around my tag, and for the top ribbon I used the Black/Silver Reversible Ribbon. I put drop pearls on the bottom edge.

I hope you enjoy it! Let's see what you create!! Go to Crafty Gals Corner Challenges blog and join in on the fun! You don't want to miss it!

I also entered this tag into the following challenges:

We have a new Challenge (#48) over at Crafty Gals Corner! This week's challenge is Anything Goes (makes it easier for this time of year, don't you think?).

Our sponsors this week are:
Prize: 4 Digital Images

AND
Prize: $20 gift Certificate

For this week's challenge, I chose the image Sweet as Holiday Pie from Sassy Studio designs.

As you can see, my digital has a mini-gift box attached to it. It's just a small 3x3 box, but a gift card, money, jewelry, etc., can be put inside of it. I downloaded a pattern; however, the name of the site didn't show up on the pattern, so I'm not sure where it came from. I can tell you it came from Pinterest.

I printed the pattern on a plain heavy duty cardstock paper so it'll be sturdier. I then put it together. After coloring in my digital with Prismacolors, I decorated her with Glass Glitter (Reneabouquets) and Glossy Accents. I took a piece of Laser Silver Lustre from Paper Temptress and colored it with Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I also distress inks on the backside so it'll look better on the back. After inking, I used my Embossalicious winter embossing folder. (I tried to search this for a link, but was unsuccessful.) I adhered her to the front side of this paper. By the way....this paper inks up beautifully! I placed this piece onto the back of the box, attached lace from the Lighthouse stop n' shop Facebook page and added flat-back pearls to 3 sides of the box. I added a snow butterfly (Reneabouquets) and Metallic Silver Stretch Loop from Paper Temptress. The remainder of the 6x6 square piece of the Laser paper, I cut down to size and placed a piece on the bottom of the box and the inside flap.

I hope you enjoyed this! And please be sure to check out the challenge! It's anything goes...so whatever you want to do is fantastic!

Blessings, Jeanie

I have also entered my project in the following challenges :
