The Scrapoholic Candy Shop New Release-Roses!

New Release! Dozen Roses.....and I LOVE it! Here is the link to the image and The Scrapoholic Candy Shop blog.

Hello, crafters! Jeanie Ellis, DT here, to share with you another project from the SCS!

Now, if you'll look at the image in the SCS website, the flowers are actually reversed. I had a plan to use heavy vellum paper from the Paper Temptress, print the roses on one side, turn it over to color, then turn it back over to see the "watercolor" effect. However, the red really stood out, so I decided to use the colored side, which reversed the image (permission given by owner of SCS shop, Amanda). I used 5 different Prismacolor reds, and 3 greens, and 2 yellows for the artwork. I also used paper from the Paper Temptress for the green Basis Paper Pack and Antique Doily paper. The bright yellow was already in my stash.

I bought a black frame and used Rub 'n Buff Grecian Gold on the frame to give it a little "class" to the frame itself, glued some rick rack ribbon around the inside edge of the frame and added a fabric flower with ribbon. Both were RAK'd to me, along with the leaves.

I stamped and colored some butterflies to match the Dozen Roses and glued them on top of the leaves. One bit of advice, however....I really probably should have used a non-shiny glass instead of a shiny glass, as it was hard to photograph without some kind of reflection.

Be sure to check out the blog and the Facebook SCS page for DT inspiration and from others!

Crafty Gals Corner #82

Hello, my fellow crafters! We have a new challenge started here at Crafty Gals Corner - #82! This week the challenge is Anything Goes!  Our sponsor this week is:
Prize: $15 Gift Certificate

What a great Gift Certificate! You can get a lot of digitals with that! So enter in, you just might win! Here is my project for this week's challenge, using Lotus Sprite Big Eyes:

Once again, I used my Prismacolors. I hope to one day be able to try some Copics or something along that line. :-) But, I do love my Prismacolors. I always do my coloring first, so once I do that I can pick the colors I want to use for my embellishments, base card, etc. I got the  lace ribbon from the Lighthouse Stop n' Shop Facebook page (Cindy's Vintage Laces). I'm not sure where I got the top white lace, but I believe it's also from her shop.

I had some designer paper in my stash that fit the colors perfectly with the image, so I made 1 big rose and 2 smaller roses. I didn't use any glossy accents or anything else this time, because I didn't want to "overload" the image, since it "speaks for itself".

I hope you come join us this week! Don't forget to share this post, subscribe here and at CGC...get the word out! Someone out there is going to be a winner...it could be you! (Although, we here at CGC believe you're all winners in our eyes anyway!)

Outlawz Color Challenge July 26th

Well, my fellow crafters! It's time for another Color Challenge over at the Outlawz blog! And for this week's challenge, it's Monochromatic! Here is the inspiration photo:

Now, you don't have to use those particular colors, but they inspired me and is a little different than what I usually color, so I thought I'd go ahead and use the greens. Here is my project tag:
I used various cardstock that I had in my stash....the white, and the greens. I painted her lips a light green, which unfortunately you can't see in the picture. (sad face here) The image is from Sandi's Samples - Sandi Hugget.  I added lace, rose ribbon, and pearl ribbon. And of course the embellishments ("silverware" from Reneabouquets). And I added ribbon for it to hand, a flower I had in made in my stash, and a "cameo" embellishment.

Please come join us! We'd love to have you join us!

The Scrapoholic Candy Shop

Hello, crafty peeps! I have another DT card to share with you! This one is called Hedgehog with flower from the animal link. Of course, it came from the Scrapoholic Candy Shop, where there's lots more to find! Here is my project card:

I just used kraft paper for the foundation of the card, and used designer paper and purple and white papers I already had in my stash. Then I added lace and a flower at the top from Gone Artsy's Zibbet store, added flowers and leaves at the bottom with a card, and she was finished!

I loved coloring her! She was very fun. (Or, she could be a boy...all in how you decorate your card!)

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #81

It's that time of the week again! This week our theme is Christmas in July and our sponsors are:

Prize: 2 Digital Images

Prize: 3 Digital Images

Prize: 7 Digital Images

I'm using Little Angel by All Dressed Up. She is such a cutie! Here she is:

As you can probably tell, I used a lot of scraps for my card. Even the white cardstock I colored her on was a scrap. Why waste paper, right? So, once I colored her in with my Prismacolors, I outlined her white piece with silver stickles, let it dry, then mounted that up onto another piece of spare Christmas paper. I added it to the base of a Christmas piece of paper for the card part. Once I lined that up, I added the red dotted paper on each side. Then I used acrylic Patina for my flowers up in the corners and put white bows in the center of them, and more embellishments down below. The little sentiment up above says "Holiday Sparkles".

I hope you come and join us! Each week prizes are given away. You could be our next winner!

I've entered this into the following challenges:
Crafting by Design - Christmas in July
Creative Moments - Anything Goes
Fantasy Crafters - AG (as long as it's fantasy)

Outlawz Color Challenge July 19th

Hello, fellow crafters! I wanted to share with you today my project for this week. I just love this digital, and I had a lot of fun with her! First off, here is the inspiration for the challenge:

So you see the different bluish and greens in there, with black. So that's what I went with. Of course, I used my Prismacolors and used acrylic paint for the frame, stickles for the butterflies, and gloss on her lips and eye, I also added bead trim and flowers. So...here she is!

This is Emmy's Hat by Andrea Norris - http://sheepskidesigns.blogspot.co.uk/

Go check her out! There are a lot of ways to do this one. And be sure to join in on the challenge at Outlawz Color Challenge!

My Besties Challenge

Today I want to share with you an entry I did for My Besties Challenges. It's image 721.  I thought she was just adorable! I used all Paper Temptress paper, the foundation being Kraft Vintage Christmas and the rest from the Basis paper pack.

I always start with coloring my image first, then I work with it from there. I used my Prismacolors once again (love them!), and used stickles and glass glitter from Gone Artsy.  I made her a little bigger than I thought I was going to do, but these days my eyes have been giving me fits so big was okay this time around. ;-) I mounted her on 3 different mounting sheets and then embellished the card up from items in my stash.

So, here is the "reveal"....(wink):

Angel of Light

From KPKre8tions.....Please read!!
This week’s Vendor of the month sale in the Facebook Chic Boutique is a design that is very near and dear to my heart. One special angel!!! The Angel of Light.https://kpate.zibbet.com/angel-of-light
Like you, I am concerned about the recent violence in our great country. As such, I am making this Angel of Light in Dark Blue in support of our Police Officers everywhere. A personal gift, a gift for any police office you want to honor. I see this Angel of Light as a support for our Officers. They could be hung anywhere in their patrol car as their guardian angel.
I will be giving this angel myself to a very dear personal friend who is a Highway Patrol here in Nevada. I am sure you have an officer in your town as well who could use a guardian angel.
This single Angel will be 25% off to help you honor a police officer in your area!
No Code is necessary!!!

Paper Temptress Project

Hello, friends! I've been totally under the weather, so I'm behind in doing my projects. I'm still waiting on the neurosurgeon to see me. In the meantime, I'm on Valium and Xanax trying to keep the pain under control.

So today I want to share with you my project I did using a digital I got from The Scrapoholic Candy Shop. I used the digital Little Lady Bug collection. She is such an adorable little digi, that I couldn't resist her.

All the paper I used was from the Paper Temptress collection, Basis, and the white paper is the heavy duty Heavenly White #100 paper.  Best paper ever! If you haven't tried it yet, please do so. I use it with my Prismacolors. I also make flowers out of some of the Paper Temptress paper. It is SOOOOOO versatile! Please show us your projects by going to our Facbook page or our blog site at the Paper Temptress Blog

Hello, everyone! Today I want to share with you my project from The Scrapoholic Candy Shop. I love this digital! Plus it comes with more than just the digital...it comes with digitals and sentiments! Here is the original:
Tea Time

Now, as you can see, there are a lot to choose from just from buying this ONE digital! So here is what I came up with:

I just love her. There were so many ways to color her, but I wanted to do a little bit differently this time around. I did add lace around the edges and added some flat pearls on top of the lace. Be sure to join us over at the Facebook blog and the Scrapoholic Candy Shop Blog!

It's time for a new challenge this week at Crafty Gals Corner! This This week the theme is Monochromatic!

Our sponsor this week is:

Prize: $12 Gift Certificate

Sami Stamps has some wonderful digitals, so I hope you check them out! This week I used Lady Bug Branch

I first of all, always start coloring my project. That way, I know where I'm going with the colors to coordinate with my papers and such. I used my Prismacolors, and as you can see, my monochromatic color is primarily greens. I also took a floral embossing folder, colored it with green Gelatos, placed a white cardstock paper in it, and ran it through my Big Shotz. I was very happy with the result.

Here is my project card:

As you can see, I added some green lace to the top and bottom, green leaves, and a very light green rose in with the leaves.

Come join us! There's a great prize waiting for someone out there!

Conie Fong DT Project

Hello, everyone! It's me again, here with another project as Guest Designer for Conie Fong Art & Design. This beautiful digital is called Moonflower Lullaby. Here is my tag:

I just love this image, and knew it would be fun to work with. First of course, I colored her with my Prismacolors. Then I got out a larger white cardstock, covered it with various colors of Gelatos, then covered that with the Liquitex Glass Beads. I layered her on top of that so she would adhere to the glass beads. I also did the same with the pink ribbons on the side. All the laces and embellishments came from Gone Artsy, except for the the dragonfly, which I made myself.

Come on over and visit...show us your work! There are a lot of talented people out there!!

Outlawz Challenges!

So, I'm here with you today to share with you another Color Challenge project with the Outlawz. I must admit, I had a lot of fun with this one. I decided to make a frame out of this image, rather than a tag (although it could still be used as one if so desired).

I have tried and tried to find the image for this. I had it in my files, but now I can't seem to find it. If you know what it is, please let me know by commenting. I want to give credit where credit is due.

I outlined her with stickles to give her that fairy "glow", and some around her. I used red lace, blue ribbon, yellow paper, and of course the black lace around the image. She was so fun to do. And, although I can't remember the name of the paper, it is from Paper Temptress.

Be sure to enjoy in the challenge! And have fun! Blessings, Jeanie Ellis - Scrapbookingmamaw

I am so excited to share with you that I am a proud Guest Designer for Conie Fong Art & Design Group (Facebook page here). If you've never seen any of her images, I'm telling you now....you are missing out, girls!! Or guys!
So for my first project, I used the Angel of Christmas Stars. I absolutely LOVE this image. I wanted to do something a little different, so I made her into a Christmas gift box. Here are the images:

So I used chipboard for my box. And then I used the heavy weight paper from Paper Temptress, along with the image I colored it on. I used POW Glitter paper inside and Christmas paper I got from Scrapbookingwithme Boutique.

Be sure to check out Conie's Facebook page (link above).
