Tsunami Rose Designs Mini-Album Project

Hello, crafty friends! I want to share with you my 3rd project for Tsunami Rose Designs. I had so much fun with this digital paper! I love the soft colors in it and am always amazed how well the colors print out on my printer. Here is a link to my video on YouTube showing you more in-depth details about the album! Again, I used the Rose Noteworthy digital paper kit. There's a lot in this kit, which means you can create a TON of crafty goodness!

Now on to my project:

Journaling Cards that go into Pockets

I haven't done a mini-album in awhile, but this was so fun to do! There's a lot of places for photos, journaling...whatever you'd like to put into it! I used the Hidden Hinge Binding System, which I got from YouTube. There's a lot of them out there, but My Sister's Scrapper is usually my "go-to" for making it.

Here are some special links for TRD. Be sure to check them out! And thanks for stopping by!

Happy Anniversary, JessicaLynnOriginal!

I just want to say a very BIG Happy 12th Anniversary to JessicaLynnOriginal! In honor of this momentous occasion, we are making cards using the digital Happy Birthday Brentwood Owl Stamp with a cute cupcake! Here is the stamp:

Now let me show you a picture of the card I made using this:
Unexpanded Card

Expanded

This digital's "birthday" was just a few days ago, turning 8! And he was a perfect choice to celebrate Jessica's 12th anniversary!

Everything that I cut out and colored was using my Silhouette Portrait. And the card base was from the SIL store. Even the designer balloon paper was made with the Silhouette!

I hope you come by and celebrate with JLO this Saturday! The event link is HERE.

Check out my teammies blogs, too! You'll find great inspiration there!

JessicaLynnOriginal Stamp Release Card 2

Hello, crafters! Today I want to share with you my 2nd card for the release of a new stamp set: Yorkshire Terrier stamp set from JessicaLynnOriginal. I LOVE this set! I decided to use the little Yorkie with the jacket on, so then I thought she needed to be outdoors. And THEN I thought...hey, she'd look pretty in front of a sunset!

Here is my card:

I found this technique on YouTube (how many of you out there LOVE YouTube? I do!) The one I used was from stampwithtami. She, however, used a brayer. But when I tried using my brayer, it was kind of bumpy (ummm...someone should have cleaned that thing!). So, instead I used my round TH distress ink tool. I used my Prismacolors to color the little Yorkie. Then I inked up some little flowers and set them over to the side (a girl's gotta have some flowers, right?). I placed hearts going up and then used the sentiment from the stamp set.

Here's a picture and link of the new stamp set:

Please be sure to check out my teammies and see they're creations! They have some gorgeous work! And if you decide to purchase any of the stamps or digitals from the store, kindly remember to put my name in the instructions/comments section during checkout. Here's a list of the DT)
I hope you like this project and that you will join us in our Facebook group!

JessicaLynnOriginal New Stamp Release!

Hello, crafty peeps! Today I want to share with you my first of 2 cards for the release of a new stamp set: Yorkshire Terrier stamp set from JessicaLynnOriginal.  I LOVE this set! My sister has had a few of these dogs, who passed away. She did find another Yorkie to love. He's so sweet! But I thought that a card for her would be great and lift her up, as she's had a lot of things going on. This stamp set is perfect for that!

Here is my card:
Front of Card

Inside of Card
Since this is going to my sister, I wanted to make it a little more feminine. And I also wanted to try this new technique (for me, anyway), called masking. As you can see, only part of the little Yorkie in the back is showing. Here's a link if you'd like to try it: Masking Technique by Inkadoodle.

The card base itself was cut out with my Silhouette, and I used my Big Shot for the mounting piece in the center of the inside card. I used some colored markers to color my dogs. I had to use the tiny hearts and paws from the stamp set...they're soooo  cute!

I hope you like this project and join us in our Facebook group.

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #116 - Anything Goes

Hello, crafters! Today starts a new challenge here at Crafty Gals Corner! And this week's challenge is Anything Goes! Here are our sponsors for this week:

Prize: 1 digital image

Prize: 3 Digital Images

I am using Noxie the Mermaid. She is so cute! Here is my card for this week:
As you can probably see, I made a small shaker at the upper right corner of the card, using my Silhouette. All the papers are from Paper Temptress, in the Mica/Metallic line and a small piece of lustre. Using the Silhouette to make the shaker really helped me out! I used no foam tape of any kind. It was a matter of layering several pieces of "frames" together and then gluing those to the underside of the white paper.

I colored my digital with my Prismacolors, used 3d foam under her to make her stand out, and then added all of my embellishments.

I hope you join us for our challenge this week - Anything Goes. Thank you for stopping by!

Whisker Graphics DT project

Hello, fellow crafty peeps! I want to share with you a project I did, using product from Whisker Graphics. This is my first project as a Designer for the company, and I must say, the product is of a high quality! I love working with them! I love making tags, so I thought these would be perfect for making a Mixed Media Tag. (Scrapbooking paper from Tsunami Rose DesignsRose Noteworthy Digital Printables.)

I actually did a large tag with a pocket to insert 2 other smaller tags, which are in the paper bags. They fit perfectly! Here they are:
Large Tag with Pocket Insert & Tags with Envelopes

Tag showing Pocket
Tags with Decorated Envelopes

Tags - Die Cuts are on 3D Foam Squares

Back of Tag

To make these tags and pocket tag, you'll need the following supplies: Chipboard (4x6"), Digital Design Papers, Digital Die Cuts, Stencil, Texture Paste, Lace, Pearl Drop Trim, Tags, White Litty Bitty Bags, and Twine. Be sure to go to the Whisker Graphics Blog for details on how I put these together.

I hope you enjoy this project of mine! I know I had a lot of fun in making them!

Thanks for stopping by!

The Outlawz Color Challenge - March 28th

Hello, crafty pardners! We have started another Color Challenge over at The Outlawz! This month we have the fabulous

DigiStamps4Joy as our sponsor!
This months prize is $10 to spend in their store!

I hope that you will join in on the fun! Below is the Photo Inspiration for this week by fellow DT member, Cara. Isn't it gorgeous??

Photo Inspiration
Now, about my card. I decided I'd do an easel card for this week. I've done a few here lately, but this one was just slightly different in that the back piece is larger. The photo led me to trying to make a stain glass window for the back. I've done 1 before, and it worked great! Only this time, I didn't have all the materials I used last time. So, I improvised. While it looked okay, it sure didn't "float my boat". I decided to take that piece and cut out a butterfly with my Big Shot.

I may be able to explain to you somewhat how I did it, but it was quite an accident that it worked! Lol! But I did use distress inks to paint strips of colors on heavy vellum from Paper Temptress. Then I used a black marker to make various lines through the different colors to make squares, rectangles....as you seen in the inspiration photo. I also left some white. I then put a clear sticky sheet over the "stain glass", but....since I wasn't happy with the result, I decided to go ahead cut out a butterfly, just to see if it would look better in another form. It worked! What I discovered was that there was a stickiness to that side with the colors! Maybe I put it on wrong...I'm not sure. But, I made it work by sprinkling very fine white glitter over the butterfly, shake off the excess, and rubbed the remainder into the butterfly to make it stick better. I was pretty happy with it by that time!

It was after the butterfly that I colored my image, Hello Bunny, from Digistamps4joy. She's adorable! I once again used my Prismacolors to color her in. I cut her out using my Silhouette Portrait and also cut out the easel card and it's mounting pieces with it. Then it was a matter of putting all the layers together and embellishing it.

I hope you do join us this week! And thank you for stopping by!

Spring 2017 Coffee Lover's Blog Hop Share #2!

So, I made another project for the Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop! And my husband wants it! (Really? Awesome!) So, he's going to hang it on the wall by his computer.

I decided on this round to make a tag to hang like a little wall plaque. I normally use my Prismacolors to color in my projects, but I bought some markers to see how I liked using them. No, not Copic or any of the other name brands, as I wanted to experiment on markers first without spending a lot of money. After all, Prismacolors have been my go to for a long time, and I hesitated going into another medium.

If you go to JessicaLynnOriginal, you'll find some awesome stamps, even a free one! So you can join in too!

Now here is the tag:
I must say, for being cheap markers, they were very well worth it! I hope you join in on the hop too! I never imagined there were so many wonderful coffee digitals out there! So fun!

Thanks for stopping by!

And if you go to JessicaLynnOriginal, you'll find some awesome stamps, even a free one! So you can join in too!

Now here's my project. I decided to make a note pad. A coffee lover needs something to take notes on while sipping coffee, right? This was absolutely fun to make! And Jessica's free digital was such an inspirational one to color!

So there it is! And I do plan on using it! And it is refillable! Yay!

Thanks for stopping by!

The Outlawz Color Challenge March 21st

Hello once again, crafty peeps! Today began a new week of Color Challenges over at The Outlawz! I hope you will join us! And this month we have the fabulous

DigiStamps4Joy as our sponsor for March!
This months prize is $10 to spend in their store!
Now on to our photo inspiration this week, which was chosen by fellow DT member, Jacqui!
Gorgeous colors, aren't they? And for this challenge, you must chose at least 3 out of the 5 colors. Here is the project I did:
I decided to do an Easter/Spring Basket. I thought the colors would be perfect for it! So I found a tutorial on YouTube and went with that.

I used my Prismacolors to color up my image. The butterflies you see are some that I did using heavy vellum from the Paper Temptress, and the flowers were a part of a prize I won on Holley's blog. Here is the tutorial on the butterflies: Here.

I hope you will come and be a part of the Color Challenge this week! We love seeing your work!

TTCRD Challenge March 21st

Guess what time it is?? It's time for another new challenge week over at Through the Craft Room Door!   And this week we have Little Miss Muffet sponsoring us.

Here's a little bit about Little Miss Muffet stamps:
Welcome to... Little Miss Muffet Stamps!
A little bit of fun in a lot of different ways!
Hi everyone, I am Barbara Sproatmeyer, aka ForgottenScraps, and I am the owner of Little Miss Muffet Stamps. I love coloring and I love stamping! However, I think the best part about this is I get to share it with my own Little Miss Muffets who love to work by my side. Their personalities and adventures come out in the stamps that I draw, whether it is the day we roasted smores for the first time or when they discovered how high they could bounce on their hip-hop balls. They continue to be a source of amusement and inspiration. LOL
Little Miss Muffet Stamps began in January 2011 and I'd like to give a shout-out to my family and friends for their encouragement and support - thank you! I am also very fortunate to have a fabulous design team and I'm reminded of their talent every week when they show off their awesome creations. For oodles of inspiration, make sure to see what they've created over in the LMMS Gallery or LMMS Challenge blog for lots of creative ideas.
Little Miss Muffet Stamp products are created by myself and other talented artists including Bugaboo and Pollycraft. (For more fabulous images available in digital form, you can check out their sites.) I also stock a variety of other brands and products that offers you more of a selection and increases your buying experience, such as products from Raley's Confectionary, C.C. Designs, Make it Crafty and Whimsy Stamp.
Now here's my card: I used Polka Dot Pals Neomie Easter.  Isn't she adorable??

JessicaLynnOriginal Reveal Card #3

Hello, fellow stampers! Today is my 3rd and final Reveal for the Jessica Lynn Original Mason Jar set! And of the 3 that I made, this one is my favorite! I love doing tags...I'm sure I've mentioned that somewhere before...lol...and I love pink! Here's a picture of what's in the set:
And here is my project:

Close Up of Tag
As you can see, I have sort of a Mixed Media thing going on here. I used my Silhouette to cut out the bottom and top layers of the tag. Then I used my Gelatos to color up the top layer, and then used a stencil to spread texture paste all over it. Before it had a chance to dry, I added glass glitter all over the top, pressed it in slightly (be careful! it's sharp), and then used my heat gun to dry it. I loved the effect of the glass glitter. I also used Glossy Accents on the buttons and the little garden home to give it some shine. The butterfly applique is from KPKre8tions and the pink background paper with the pink ribbon are from Paper Temptress
