Tsunami Rose Designs DT Project

Hello, all you wonderful crafters! Today I want to share with you my project for Tsunami Rose Designs. This is an awesome digital paper kit, called Hummingbird

I joined a swap in a Facebook Group for a Loaded Envelope. And while I've never ever done a Loaded Envelope before, I thought it sounded like a lot of fun! And the first thing I thought of using was the hummingbird kit. Hummingbirds are beautiful and have always fascinated me! And they go great with Shabby Chic styles, or just about anything really. Here is what I did:

Front with Goodies in Pocket

Back with Tag Pocket

Wand and Lace with Stick Pins Goodies

Emptied Pocket

Accordion Fold - Side View

Empty Back Pocket for Tags

My Very First Wand - I hope my swap partner likes it! By the way, I made the straw for this using a YouTube video by Kelly Barlow Creations. I got the Loaded Envelope Tutorial from KSP by Luisa.

I have to tell you, this was a very challenging project for me, but it was one of those where I just HAD to do it! I wanted a challenge, and I sure got it! Be sure to check out TRD and all the other designers blogs! Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings, Jeanie Ellis - Scrapbookingmamaw

A Bit About Our Sponsor:
Pickled Potpourri Designs offers high-quality digital stamps, downloads and printables. Featuring old favorites from The Angel Company (TAC), as well as new, original designs, you'll find a potpourri of images in a wide range of styles to enhance your papercrafting, scrapbooking and other artsy projects at Pickled Potpourri!
Prize; $7 Voucher

Now let me share with you my project, using Chickadee Greetings. I absolutely love this digital! It was a clean and simple design, yet it packs a lot of punch! And I love birds anyway, so this was an easy one for me to do!

I love the colors of this. Normally, I would use red with black and white, but because I wanted the color of the Chickadee to be close to the real bird, I decided to use the yellow colors with the rest of the card, too. And it turned out so much better then expected.
There will be more details and inspiration in our upcoming online issue for July-August 2017. Be sure to check it out!

Outlawz Color Challenge June 27th, '17

Hello, crafty peeps! Today starts another fun Color Challenge over at the Outlawz! For the month of June, we have the wonderful Digi Stamps 4 Joy as our sponsor! They will give the winner $10 to spend in their store! You can get a lot for that!

Now let's see what our photo inspiration is for this week:
If you notice, you'll see that it's not just about color this week...there's a twist to it! Add Texture! I was excited about that, as I love adding texture to everything project I make, if there's any way possible. Now here is my tag:

I really love this image, Dream Dress, from Sheepski Designs. Andrea has some beautiful images in her shop, so I hope you check it out!

After I colored her in, I took some DSP and adhered it to the tag base, then I got a stencil plus texture paste and spread it onto the tag. I'm impatient, so I heated it up to dry instead of letting it dry on it's own, the sprayed some coloring on top of that. I next added all of my lace, pearl drops, and embellishments to the tag. As you can see, I also added some pearl sprays. In my opinion, there is no right or wrong in making a tag...it should be something that please your eye, making it your very own. Tags are one of my favorite things to do!

I hope that you will join us for this week's challenge. It'll be a lot of fun!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #128

Hello, fellow crafters! Today starts a new challenge over at the Crafty Gals Corner blog! "Any Holidy" is the theme for this week. And we have 2 wonderful sponsors for this challenge. They are:

Rick St. Dennis

Prize: 2 Digital Images

Prize: 3 Digital Images

For my card, I chose the Christmas Poinsettia by Lemon Shortbread. She is so cute! I have to admit, with my eyes having some issues right now, I had some trouble with the coloring. They're on the mend, but I wish it would hurry up! Drives me crazy! Lol! Anyway, here is my card:
Front with Window View

Inside
I used a Sizzix die to cut out the window and my Silhouette to cut out my image and the sentiments. Of course, I used my Prismacolors on her.

I hope that you will join us this week for the challenge! Be sure to check out the Design Team inspirations too!

Outlawz Color Challenge - June 20th

Hello, crafters! Do you know what time it is?? It's time for another fun Color Challenge over at the Outlawz! For the month of June, we have the wonderful Digi Stamps 4 Joy as our sponsor! They will give the winner $10 to spend in their store! Woo-hoo!

This week's Color Challenge was chosen by our very own DT, Cara! Now, here is the inspiration for this challenge. Choose any 4 or all of the colors from this photo...but it can't be a card!
Isn't that an awesome photo? So, I got to thinking...it's been awhile since I made a pillow box. And, they're also fun to decorate. Here is my Pillow Box Project:
You can stuff so many different kinds of goodies in these boxes, for anyone special, a birthday, make it a wedding table decor, etc! You can make these out of toilet paper rolls, but I chose to use my Silhouette to cut mine out. I then added lace around the center and hot glued my flowers and butterflies in the center of the box. The blue and white flower is one I made about 2 or 3 weeks ago. The color went great with the inspiration. The butterflies are made by Reneabouquets. Love them!

I do hope that you will join us for this challenge! What makes this one more fun, is that you can make any project for it, except a card!

Have a blessed day!

Outlawz Color Challenge June 13th

Hi, crafters! Can you believe we're already in the 6th month of the year....wait! Wasn't it just a New Year? I can't believe how fast it's going! My dad always told me, the older you get the faster time goes. I sure believe him now.

Anyway, it's time for another challenge over at The Outlawz Color Challenge. Our sponsor for this month is Digistamps4Joy (DS4J).
I love the image I used for this challenge:

Now let's take a look at the Tic Tac Toe board for this challenge. I love how this board has a LOT of options in each of the photo squares. A great variety! Here it is:

For my card, I decided I'd go with the Middle Row down. My inspiration was several factors...and of course colors. I used Black, White, Lavender, Pink, and Beige. Then there are the pearls, lace, and roses.
I used my Silhouette Portrait to cut out my image, then colored it with my Prismacolors. I also printed out a designer dressform paper pattern using my SIL. Black cardstock was my base foundation, then I added the designer paper, lace, pearls, sentiment, and the rose (handmade by me).

I hope you come and join us for this week's challenge! My teammies are a great group of very talented ladies! Be sure to check out each of their blogs, too! See you there! And thanks for stopping by "my place"!

Hello, everyone! Today starts a new challenge for Anything Goes at Through the Craft Room Door! Our sponsor for this week is:

Prize: $10 Voucher

Here's a Little Bio about our Sponsor:
"Hello! My name is Olga. I’m the owner and designer of Little Blue Button Stamps. All the designs you can see in our releases were illustrated by me.

All my life I loved to draw. I inherited this from my grandfather Ivan, who created a lot of illustrations for my and my sister’s classes, he did a lot of oil paintings, carvings, engravings and was very creative till the last breathe. I remember myself visiting their house and watching him drawing and painting. It was such a magical time for me! I started to draw as I was little. Who didn’t?=) But this love never left me, it followed me for all these years. I had no chance to attend any art school or faculty, I learn everything by myself.

I always get a lot of support from my family and friends. I used to draw Christmas and other holidays banners for our local village club, for my University faculty and for my friends. Then I had to put some of my drawings for sale and now this is my main income, since I live in a war zone of Ukraine and have no job.

My main supporters and inspiration are my family and my boyfriend Konstantin, who supports me in all my starts. Thanks to him I discovered digital pencil and he encouraged me to start this company.

Little Blue Button Stamps started it’s life in December 2012 as free digital stamps company “Digital designs by Olga”. Later in spring 2013 it was reborn as Little Blue Button Stamps and first Design Team started it’s work.

In the summer of 2013 we started to produce rubber stamps which were pressed and packed by C.C.Designs company. In Fall 2014 we started to release clear stamps but due to some problems in my life I had to shut down both clear and rubber and continue with digital stamps only.

Now I continue to create designs for digital stamps and printables by LBBS and clear stamps for Russian store by Tamara Startseva.

It is so hard to be a foreigner in this business, so I am so very thankful to each of my customers for support! If you have any suggestion or you need sponsor or partner please contact us!

If you want to see my personal blog click here: Crafty Olga

Digital stamps and printables are very nice kind of supplies which you can fit to any card or any project by resizing! Also they are very nice to store because you can store them in your computer as well as print them and lay flat in your paper packs or binders.

You can contact me: lbbstamps@gmail.com. Please add address order@lbbstamps.com to your contact list or you will not be able to get notifications from us. Also we have free stamps and printables."

Now on to my project. I used the image Some Coffee. I think this is such a cute image, especially since my sisters and I go to a great coffee place in the next town just to sit and drink the coffee and eat a scone! Instead of a card, I decided to make a tag with this one. Here it is:
 Front
 Back
Close Up
All the details for this project will be in the upcoming magazine for TTCRD! I hope you check it out too!

I hope you come join in on the challenge! Always great to see all the talent out there...let's see yours!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenges #126 - Emboss It!

Hi, fellow crafters! I hope this new day is finding you fit and well! Today begins a new challenge week over at Crafty Gals Corner Challenges with the theme of:  Emboss It!" The sponsor(s) for this challenge are:

Prize: 2 Images DT Used

Star Stampz

Prize: 3 Digital Images

So for my card this week, I used the Warmest Wishes by Lia Stampz. I thought this was such a cute digital to work with! Here it is:

Front of Card

Closeup of Embossing

I realize that the embossing is hard to see, hence the closeup of the dry embossing on the purple mat of the card. I used a snowflake embossing folder for this part. I then wet embossed the snowflake.

Coloring these were pretty easy to do. I used my markers for these. To give it the extra "bling", I added stickles to the digi pieces. I then added the sentiment that comes with these digitals and some Tim Holtz tinsel around the edges of the card.

This was a fairly simple card to make, and yet it's so fun with all the colors to it! I hope you join us for this fun challenge! Thanks for stopping by!

The Outlawz Color Challenge June 6th

Hellllllloooooo, crafters! Me again! Here today to share with you another new challenge for The Outlawz Color Challenge!  For this week, yours truly here got to pick the Photo Inspiration. I saw this image and thought...Wow! I love Peacocks anyway, so this was a great find for me.

Our sponsor for this week is the amazing Digistamps4Joy (DS4J). Here also is a link to their blog, if you click on their blog badge below.
Now for the photo! I especially love all the colors in it!
Isn't he a beauty (or is it a she)? So, I knew exactly what I wanted to do for this card. Here is my card:
I found this awesome free image on a website called Cool2BKids.com. They offered free coloring pages for kids. I'm thinking...THIS IS AN AWESOME IMAGE! And it fit perfectly with the landscaping of the photo inspiration. So I cut and colored my image (colored with Prismacolors), set that aside, and proceeded to make the flowers for my card. I love making flowers. Sometimes my hands won't cooperate with me because of the arthritis, but sometimes they do fine.

Once I got done making the flowers, I mounted photo mats on top of my card base, then the peacock, and added all the decorations to the card. And it was done!

I hope you come by and join us for this challenge! Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings, Jeanie Ellis - Scrapbookingmamaw

I've entered this card at
Digistamps4Joy-Anything Goes optional twist Add a Butterfly

JessicaLynnOriginal - Summer Owl

Hello, crafty peeps! I have another card to share with you for today. JessicaLynnOriginal has a cute little Summer Owl that's brand new in the shop! I want to share my card with you! But first, here's the owl:
Image 1

Here is also a link to the Facebook group to post it to: JessicaLynnOriginal: create & inspire.

Now, on to my card! I decided that I wanted to give this little owl a sand bucket, especially since he's standing in the sand. So I used my Silhouette and cut out the bucket and pieces to it. I colored him with my Prismacolors. I used glass glitter and colored it to make it look more like the color of sand (I forgot I didn't have the right color of cardstock...duh!). Then I added a sentiment. Here it is:
Let's see what you create with this little guy! He's awfully cute! And thank you for stopping by!

Butterfly Sketch Card

Hello, everyone! Today I want to share with you a card that I did for a couple of challenges, just for the fun of it! So I decided to join the Mojo Monday Challenge Blog. Let me begin by showing you the sketch for this challenge:

Unfortunately, this will be their last challenge....so sorry to see it end, but it's so understandable. I encourage you to enter her last challenge...make it the greatest!

Now here's interpretation of the challenge:

I had fun with this card! But you'll notice in my card, I didn't use paper for the horizontal nor the vertical strips in the sketch, but rather ribbon and pearls. I wanted a small sense of shabby chic to it.

I started out with the white base foundation. I then just added the pieces in to make the sketch. I had made the butterfly a few days ago using a Tim Holtz die, but at the time I had no particular spot for it yet. I also made the flower you see in the top right corner of the card. I added the butterfly to the middle focal point of the card, some pearl sprays to the right, and a few buttons. With that said, I also entered the card into the Button Challenge of the Closet of Krafty Krea8ters. While the Closet of Krafty Krea8ters is a closed group, you can ask to join. Just like any other FB group.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Handmade Flowers

I love making flowers!! And lately I've been on a flower making kick! But before I go on, I want to make a disclaimer: All flowers that I make by hand have some influence from one artist tutorial or another. I just adapt them as I go along to make them my own, as well as my arthritic hands will let me. One person who has recently influenced me greatly....and I hope to learn much from....is a lady by the name of Archana Joshi - Follow the Friday Friday (Facebook Group), where she teaches tutorials. Anyway, here are some of my flowers:

Please check out my Instagram for other projects I've done! And I hope you give flower making a try!

Thanks for stopping by!
