Crafty Gals Corner Challenges #138 - Anything Goes

Hello once again, crafty peeps! We've started a new week of challenges here at Crafty Gals Corner. And we hope you will join us! For this week, our sponsors are:

Prize: 4 Digital Images
 &
Prize: 3 Digital Images

I was very excited to do the image I chose this week's project. She's gorgeous! And I know there were are lot of things I could have made with her, but she just needed to be the main feature on a card, in my opinion. She would also look great on a tag (hmmmm....next time?). So, here is my card, using Beautiful Blossom by Delicious Doodles.
I used all Prismacolors on her, leaving her dress a white. I wanted her to have red hair, so I gave her several layers of red, then took an eraser and put in some highlights in her hair. I thought yellow would go great with her, especially because of the green leaves, so I did the flowers and the butterfly in yellow with highlights of black, added some lace with yellow in it, and adhered some flowers I got from Secret Garden Crafts. And she was done! No added bling like I normally do....

Thank you for stopping by! I do hope you join us in this week's challenge!

Outlawz Color Challenge - August 29th

Hello, crafters! Today starts a new Color Challenge over at The Outlawz! For the month of August, we have the amazing Mari Digis!

Our winner will get the 3 digis that our team have to play with.
For this week's challenge, we have an Anything But a Card theme, as long as you use the colors in the inspiration, which is:

4 colours anything but a card
Colors are Burgundy, sparkly Gold, Tan and Cream

Now let me show you what I've created for this week: An Altered Spool. I had a lot of fun with this one! Here it is:
Before I was able to put any paint or paper on, I had to Gesso both the spool and the stand I was going to put it on. After that was dried, I did the painting on the spool: top, bottom, and edging. I then took another color of the "tannish" paint and painted the stand for the base. Before adhering the spool to the stand, I went ahead and decorated it with paper, lace, bead charms I made, and a rose, plus a lot of bling on the top of the spool. That shine in the picture is actually from the stones, not an edited in shine. I then adhered the spool onto the stand. The gold butterfly was actually white to begin with, but I used spray mists and colored her up (butterfly is from KPKre8tions). I hot glued the red rose onto the butterfly after I had hot glued the butterfly onto the stand. And there you have it!

I hope you join us for this week's challenge! And thanks for stopping by! Feel free to leave me a comment (I read every one of them).

Createful Heart Digis & Designs Card

Hello! I hope you're having a great and crafty day! I am on the Design Team of Createful Heart Digis & Designs, but when I saw one of Mary's (the owner) newest digi, I just had to have it! So I want to share it with you today. Here she is, Vintage Angel

This is one of my faves! I used all Prismacolors on her. The background paper is a Silhouette design I printed out and cut to the size I needed. The butterfly was also printed and cut from my Silhouette. I did add flowers from Secret Garden Crafts (Archana Joshi's shop). I hot glued a strand of pearls around the image to give her more of a focus.

And....just an FYI here....there's a challenge going on over at Createful Heart! The first one ever! So be sure to drop in and enter! There are prizes to be given away!

Thank you for stopping by!

Outlawz Color Challenge Aug 22nd!

Howdy, craft pardners!! Here I am, late in my posting when it should have already been up. But, feeling sick didn't allow that to happen. Hit me like a ton of bricks! But I'm on a roll again! :)

So The Outlawz has started a new Color Challenge today! And this month we have the amazing
Our winner will get the 3 digis that our team have to play with.
This week's challenge was chosen by  little ol' me! So for this challenge, add 2 colors of your choice (and name them), plus add a twist of lace! Here is the photo inspiration:
I love the colors on this! So now let me show you my card:
I absolutely love this digi! I have a friend of mine who has blonde hair, and her favorite color is pink. So, I thought this would be great! I used the rustic orange color in the photo inspiration, plus the pink and yellow. I wasn't sure the colors would look good, but they did pretty good! And of course, I used my Prismacolors and added my lace.

I sure hope that you join us in this week's challenge! And thanks for stopping by!

Mixed Media Project

Okay, all you crafty peeps! I've created a Mixed Media project. It's been awhile since I created one like this, but when the Challenge came in for Reneabouquets in her Facebook page event, I had to try! Plus, a FB friend of mine with ScrapbookingwithM.E Facebook Group, also mentioned how great the Art Alchemy acrylic paint Sparks are...so naturally, that went right along with what I needed! It was my first time using them, but I must say...they are AWESOME!

Here is my project:

I used various items from both Reneabouquets, such as Gold Micro Beads, Diamond Glass Glitter, the Butterfly, the stencil....and the Art Alchemy paint was from ScrapbookingwithMe. Links are above when you click on their names.

The process was such a fun thing to do! I love mixed media anyway. I first glued everything (bottom layered items) onto the board, then used Gesso on top of all that. Then I painted over that with black acrylic paint. Next came the Alchemy paints....CAN WE SAY FUN??? I can! I then added all the beads, glitter to various areas, added some top layers (such as the stick pin I made, the little jewel in the bottom right I also made, the angels a swap partner sent me, and the beautiful butterfly. Lastly, I used Glossy Accents to string the chain around the canvas.

I hope you enjoyed this little project of mine! And thanks for stopping by!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #136

Crafty Gals Corner! I hope you will join us. Our theme for this week is ADD A STAR!
This week our amazing sponsors are:

1. $10 Gift Certifcate
2. 1 Digital Image
3. 1 Digital Image

Join us at Miss Daisy Stamps Create & Share Facebook Group to meet the artists,
share fun & inspiration, receive freebies and special deals. See you there!

Prize: 2 Digital Images

I had a very hard time choosing which image to use, but in the end I finally decided to use Time to Shine by All Dressed Up. What a cutie this image is! Now here's my card:
Isn't she an adorable image?? So, with the theme being "Add a Star", I decided to go with making a huge star in the background, using my Silhouette to not only cut out the star, but to print out the design for my paper. I then thought she needed more bling, so I added the pearl and rhinestone star you see in the top right corner and added streams of rays coming from it. For the little lady, I used my Prismacolrs to color her up and added some Stickles and Wink of Stella to help her shine more. I used a blue glitter pen to trace around the words "Time to Shine". And what is shine if there isn't even more bling, right? So on to adding more bling around the edging of the card!

I sure hope you enjoyed this little card of mine! And I appreciate your stopping by! I read each and every comment that comes through...I would love to know your thoughts!

Please join us in this week's challenge! We'd love to have you.

Createful Heart Digis & Design 1st Blog Challenge!

Hello, everyone! I'm so excited to share with you this new Blog Challenge - Anything Goes! Createful Heart Digis & Design  begins it's 1st Challenge today! Since this is a new challenge, please be sure to read over the Rules. Now on to my project!

I decided to go with the Serenity image. I love how she is sitting there, and on her shoulder sits a little butterfly! What a lovely image this is! I decided that, rather than making a card for my first "official" project for CHDD, I'd make a tag. Hopefully, by now you know that I love making tags anyway! And she seemed perfect for this! Here is my tag:
I also decided that I wanted to give her red hair. I love red hair! I always wanted red hair as a child, but of course, my brown hair did not turn red. Lol. So I used my Prismacolors and colored up my image. I knew I wanted to use some flowers on my tag, so I went ahead and made 3 flowers just for this tag. I used my Silhouette to cut out the tag shape, added some lace, twine, bling, and stamens to decorate. I also used a leaf applique from KPKre8tions.

I do hope that you will join us in this 1st ever Blog Challenge for Createful Heart! Please be sure to spread the word! And if you're on Facebook and use one of Mary's images, please share it with us on her Facebook page!

Blessings, Jeanie Ellis - Scrapbookingmamaw

Outlawz Color Challenge Aug 15th, 2017

Hello, my fellow crafters! Today begins another new week of Color Challenges over at The Outlawz! And for the month of August, we have the wonderful Mari Digis as our sponsor! For our inspiration for this week, DT member Kimberly Pate has given us this very special photo to work from! It's a gorgeous sunset. When you enter the challenge, please be sure to tell us what inspired you! I was inspired by the colors and the botanicals.

Now on to my card.
I thought this Mari Digi image was perfect for what I was wanting to create. I decided on making a swing card. I used my Silhouette to cut it out...makes it so much easier with arthritic hands! I colored her with my Prismacolors, made some cherry blossom flowers, added sequins, and other embellishments. The hummingbird you see up there is from Reneabouquets. And the lovely green leaves are made by my very good friend, Kimberly Pate, of KPKre8tions

I sure hope you drop by and show us what you've created for this week's challenge! We love to see all the beautiful talent out there!

Thanks for stopping by!

Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes Challenge

Hello, crafters! I hope you're having a wonderful day! I'm here to share with you my DT card for this week. This week our sponsor is Dr. Digi's House of Stamps.
"Welcome to the brilliantly bizarre brain of Dr. Digi's House of Stamps.
Here you will find monsters, aliens, odd balls and Dundertons as well
as many many more wonderful digital stamps with a sense of humour."
Prize: 2 digital images
For my project, I went with the Gramaphone. I'm not into monsters, etc., but I love vintage and old time items from long ago! They are fascinating to me! So I decided to go with this digital. Here it is:
I forgot to take pictures of the side view, but this is definitely a step card. All the supplies I used will be in the upcoming magazine for September/October TTCRD Magazine. There are a lot of great ideas and inspiration in that magazine!

I hope you will join us this week for the challenge! And be sure to check out the other DT's inspirational projects! Remember, it's always Anything Goes!

Outlawz Color Challenge - August 8, 2017

Hello, crafters! Today begins a new Color Challenge over at The Outlawz! And for this month, we have the awesome sponsor "Mari Digis"! The winner will receive the 3 images that the Design Team have worked with for this month! Such cute images!

I have to say, I LOVE the photo inspiration for this week! The colors are fantastic! And those teacups...so cute! You need only to pick 3 of the 5 colors, with a twist of Vintage. I love doing anything vintage!

Now on to my card. This little girl riding on her bike...wow! She's so adorable! I used floral paper along the sides of the blue paper to give it the vintage feel to it, plus added laces, doilies, and flowers to further give it that feel. What's vintage without flowers and lace? (To me, at least...Lol) I used Prismacolors to color her. I cut out the sentiment with my Silhouette. She looks like she's answering someone who may have said, "What do you think you're doing?" And she says "I'm riding my bike, what do you think I'm doing?" Lol. I love the little heart on her left eyelid!

I hope you will come join us for this week's challenge! There's so many talented artists out there, and the Design Team Members have given such great inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by!

Tags/Box Swap with ScrapbookingwithME Boutique

Hello, fellow crafty peeps! Today I want to share with you another project! I was recently in a Tags/Box swap with a Facebook group, ScrapbookingwithMe Boutique Members Page, where you had to make 8-4x2" tags and put them in a box. You could either make the box or alter one, as long as you put them into a box. My sister had recently given me a cigar box, so I used it to put the tags in, making sure it had plenty of room for some goodies. Here is my project...I hope you like it!

Inside of Box showing 2 Tags

A Close Up of one of the Tags

Top of Box
The Butterfly in Glittered Paper along with the Fastener are from ScrapbookingwithMe Boutique. The top of the box has Liquitex Glass Beads, which are also available in the boutique. Some of the laces are from the SBWM sister group, Lighthouse Stop n' Shop.  All the flowers, the stick pins, and butterflies are made by me. I had a wonderful time making this!

I hope my Swap Partner likes what I did. It was delivered to her today! Yay!

Thank you for stopping by! Be sure to check out those links, too! :)

Blessings, Jeanie Ellis - Scrapbookingmamaw
P.S. Because this is for a specific swap, if you would like to know where I got the papers, please private message me or use my Contact form (Email) and message me.

Whisker Graphics DT Project

Hi once again, Whisker Graphics fans! I'm somewhat saddened today, as this is my final project as a Design Team member for WG. I can't believe 6 months have passed by already! This year is whizzing by!

So, as my last project, I wanted to share with you a technique in putting your very own design on your itty bitty bag. The Tutorial is on the WG Blog. And alas! A bag needs something in it, right? So I made a matching tag to go along with it. Here is my project:

All the details and instructions are on the blog, but suffice it to say....IT WAS FUN TO MAKE!! I hope you try it out too!!

Thank you for stopping by!!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenges #134

Hello, crafters! Today starts a new challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner! We have 2 wonderful sponsors for this week with the Challenge Theme being CELEBRATE! Here are our Sponsors:
Morgan's ArtWorld
Prize: 3 Digital Images

Prize: 1 Bundle of your choice - no combo packs

With the challenge theme being "Celebrate", I thought I'd go with the Celebrate images from Melonheadz. I just love the images! So cute!
My process for this card is actually quite simple. I started out by first cutting out everything with my Silhouette (SIL) Portrait, then I colored my images with my markers. The markers were perfect for this card! I then took a couple pieces of designer paper and stuck them behind her onto a white base cardstock. I then added a few roses I had and ouila! She was done! See? Simple! Who says cards have to be complicated to look nice?

I hope you join in on our challenge! And have fun with your project, whatever it is, as long as it "Celebrates!". Thank you for stopping by!

Outlawz Color Challenge August 1st-Monochromatic

Welcome to the Color Challenge at The Outlawz!
I sure hope that you will join us!
For the month of August we have the fabulous sponsor Mari Digis! Our winner will get the 3 digis that our team have to play with.

It's Monochromatic week!
While blue is shown here, you can choose whichever colour you like!

Now let me show you what I've created. I decided to go ahead and use the blue colors, as I was using the Mari Digis Mermaid. Here is my card:
I wanted to make as much of my mermaid in the blue family as possible, including her tail, hair, and eyes. I used my Prismacolors to color her and the seahorse. Now let me tell you about the background. I was experimenting (I do that a lot...sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Lol). I saw a card on Pinterest with a background that reminded me of a hot glue streak once dried. So I decided to make "steams" of hot glue across the card for the streams of water. It looked a little plain to me, so I decided to go ahead and add glitter. But...since it was dry already...I heated up sections at a time and sprinkled glitter into the glue. I used that technique also for the bubbles.

I then took my Tim Holtz Ink Oxide (Broken China) and swabbed all over the card with my dauber. I also took some cheesecloth and made it into a "netting". Added some flat blue rhinestones...and it was done! It came out a lot better than I expected. I hope you like it and will try the hot glue technique!

Thanks for stopping by!
