Crafty Gals Corner Challenges #142 - Anything Goes

Hello, fellow crafters! Today began a new challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner ChallengesThis week the challenge is Anything Goes! I'm so excited to share with you who are amazing sponsors are! They are the amazing.....
Alicia Bel
Image result for alicia bel digital image
PRIZE: $10 Euros

AND....

Prize: 3 Digital Images

So for my Anything Goes project, I decided not to do a card this time. I wasn't really sure what it was I was going to be doing with the image, Senara, so I decided to go ahead and cut her out using my Silhouette, and then color her with my Prismacolors. Once I got her done, I thought I'd like to do a shaker, but not in a card. Instead, I decided I'd make a stand up type of frame. Here it is:

Side View

I began by cutting out 2 pieces of chipboard, about 6"x8". You know those packages you buy with double sided tape (such as score tape)? I used the clear plastic covering for my shaker piece. I placed that piece (the clear circle you see in the images), on top of the card stock I wanted for the front of the frame, and traced it where I wanted the shaker to be. I then cut that out and slipped my clear plastic piece inside the hole I just made. I then  placed a piece of card stock on top of the chipboard and glued that onto the board. I put some sequins inside the shaker piece and mounted that and the card stock it was in, on top of the other card stock.

I distressed around the edge of the chipboard and added a sentiment and some die cuts onto the top, placed her on the frame with 3-D pops, and swirled a pearl strand and some rhinestones around the frame. Lastly, a bow was added to the top of the frame.

This was different, but it was so much fun to do! And I love the result! Oh yes...I made a stand out of chipboard for the frame to stand up. How fun is that??

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you will enter our challenge!

Outlawz Color Challenge - 9/26/17

Hello, crafters! Today began a new Color Challenge over at The Outlawz!  And for this month we have the amazing SheepSki Designs as our sponsor!

Winner Gets 3 Digis from the Store!
For this week's challenge, we're going monochromatic! And it doesn't have to be the color in the example; however, since I chose this week's theme 😉, I decided to go with the colors in the example.
I love doing monochromatic. It is simple, yet can be so appealing! And even classy, depending on your design! There is a twist, however....add a "Pop" of 1 other color! So here is what I created:
I love this image by SheepSki Designs, called Rachel She was a pleasure to color! With Autumn just starting, Winter can't be far behind. So, with that in mind, I thought I'd go ahead and create something wintery. (That must be a word, cause the autocorrect didn't show up! Lol)

Of course, the first thing I did was to cut out and color my image. I knew red was going to be in the equation, as it's one of my favorite colors with the shades of black. My base card was black, so I wanted my trees to be the white, adding silver stickles and a red gel pen. The DSP behind the trees are grayish snowflakes with a darker gray background. I made the sentiment in a gray color as well, and added white snowflakes for embellishments.

At first I wasn't sure this was going to work. However, it turned out better than I expected. I knew the colors worked, but I wasn't sure about the layout. So I was relieved with the end result!

I hope you join us for this week's challenge! Who wouldn't want to take a crack at winning 3 digis from Andrea's store? They're fantastic!

See you there and thanks for stopping by!

Fall 2017 Coffee Lover's Blog Hop!

Hello, Crafty Peeps! The Fall Coffee Lovers Bloghop
Is almost over with! So I wanted to share with you my final card for this fantastic hop!
Here is my 4th and Final Fall Coffee Lover's Bloghop card! I can't believe it's already almost over! So let me show you what I made:

For this card, I used an image by Createful Heart Digis & Designs called Perkin' Up! You can tell by her look, she is anticipating that first taste of coffee to get her mojo going! I do that too! Ha!

I colored her with my Prismacolors, and added some black and yellow lace onto a mounting sheet that called 50's circles on red patter digital paper that's in my Silhouette Portrait. I thought it was perfect for her! I used pop dots to adhere her to the paper, but I didn't use those for the sentiment. I then mounted both pieces onto red cardstock.

I hope you enjoyed this and that you will join too! There are so many sponsors! Yay!

Blog Dates:
When: Friday, September 15 - Friday, September 22

Outlawz Color Challenge - Sept 19th

Hello, crafters! I can't believe that we're so close to the end of September...ALREADY! This year is just whizzing by! With that being said, The Outlawz has begun a new Color Challenge! And this month we have the amazing sponsor, Sheep  Ski Designs!

Our winner will get 3 digis from the store!

For this week, DT AJ has chosen a Tic Tac Toe Board. Goodness! There's a lot of goodies to choose from in this photo inspiration! You can pick anything from any of the squares, as long as you go vertical, horizontal, or diagonally. I chose to go from top left to bottom left.

Here is my card, using Ice Queen. What a pretty image she is! Unfortunately, I wish I had felt better at the time I was coloring her in. Ever have one of those days? One day I will do her again! But I hope that she still inspires you to create your own Color Inspiration for this week's challenge!

Everything was cut with the Silhouette Portrait, including the frame around her and the sentiments. I used pop dots on the sentiments to...well..."make them pop"! Ha! What else, right?

I hope you join us in this week's challenge! And thank you so much for stopping by!

Fall Coffee Lover's Blog Hop - Card #3

Hello, Crafty Peeps! Do you know what time it is??
It's time for the
I have just finished my 3rd card for the Fall Coffee Lover's Bloghop! And I am having a lot of fun doing it! Before I go on, here is my card:

This one is called Coffee Break by The Paper Shelter. She is so cute! I love this especially because I've been at my laptop many times with my coffee....although, no cupcake, unfortunately! Lol. I used my Prismacolors on her, cut her out with my Silhouette Portrait, and mounted her and the sentiment on my watercolor paper. There really isn't more that needs to be done for this card, as the image and sentiment speak for itself! For any coffee lover, that is!

JessicaLynnOriginal Coffee Lover's Blog Hop - Card #2

Hello, Crafty Peeps! Do you know what time it is??
It's time for the
The DT for JessicaLynnOriginal stamps is joining in the fun AND is one of the sponsors for this amazing hop!  Here is my 2nd project using the Coffee Lover's Yarn.

I must say, I love this cute little image! It's so adorable. The coffee cups have their own little knitted sweaters! Love it! So this was a pretty simple little card to make. After coloring it, I used watercolor paper underneath it and just added a sentiment and a little twine bow. Very easy to do! I wanted the focus to be on the image. I did use pop dots on the sentiment and the image to give it more depth.

We would love to see you join in on the blog hop using one of Jessica's design! And please feel free to post them to Jessica's Facebook page and in the Fall Coffee Lovers Bloghop.
Visit all of my design teammates. See what they've done!
Also, if you decide to purchase any stamps or digis from the store, please remember to put my name in the instructions/comments section during checkout.  And thanks for stopping by my blog!

JessicaLynnOriginal - Coffee Lover's Blog Hop!

Hello, Crafty Peeps! Do you know what time it is??
It's time for the
The DT for JessicaLynnOriginal stamps is joining in the fun AND is one of the sponsors for this amazing hop!  Here is my first project using the Fall 2017 Coffee Blog Hop Stamp #2.
I have a coffee station in my kitchen, which was looking kind of plain without any decor above it. So I decided I'd make a piece with one of the newest digitals! I started off by coloring my image with my Prismacolors. Then I printed off the coffee design paper you see there in the background, using my Silhouette Portrait. I had some "watercolor" paper and thought it would go perfect with it. So I added that, some black, and some burlap to the background.

As you can see, my frame has metallic looking colors to it. It didn't have that before, so I used some white Gesso onto it to prime it. I then painted black acrylic paint on top of that, then some Art Alchemy Sparkle to the top of the frame. I used my heat gun to dry it faster. Then it was time to put it all together! And I must say, I was happy with the results!

We would love to see you join in on the blog hop using one of Jessica's design! And please feel free to post them to Jessica's Facebook page and in the Fall Coffee Lovers Bloghop.

Crafty Gals Corner Challenges - #140

Hey there, Crafty Gals! Or maybe even some Pals!! Today I want to share with you this week's challenge. This week our amazing sponsor is

Prize: $15 Gift Certificate
Those are some cute images on that site! Love them! So this week our Challenge is - ADD A HEART

Here is the card I created for this challenge:
I went with the Josephine image. I thought she looked so classy! And a classy lady like her looks great in pink and black! I used my Silhouette Portrait to cut out the dimensional layers...the background green tree, the top layer with the flowers, and Josephine. I mounted all those onto black cardstock so they would pop better.

I added all of my embellishments, including the heart at the bottom. But did you notice the pink paper's background? Hearts! So....I added plenty of hearts for this challenge! Lol.

I hope that you will join us over at Crafty Gals Corner Challenges! And thanks for stopping by!

Outlawz Color Challenge 9/12

Hello, crafters! I hope and pray that everyone is staying safe out there! Today I want to share with you my card for this week's Color Challenge over at The Outlawz!  Our sponsor for this month is the very talented Andrea Norris of...

Our winner will get 3 digis from the store!
And our PHOTO INSPIRATION IS...

Now, I know that mine is more of a yellow in color, because that's what my screen showed. But then looking at it another angle...after I had it all colored...it totally changed on me. (Yes, I'm sticking to that excuse!) Anyway, here is my card for this week, using Snowman Selfie
This is really a pretty simple card (for me, anyway). I used green as the foundation for the card front, and printed out my Snowmen on white cardstock to color, using my Prismacolors. I then matted them onto the front of the card and trimmed around the edging. I added snowflakes on the 4 corners, using 3 small ones and 1 large one and adhered a rhinestone onto each one.

Simple! I had such fun coloring these fellas!! I hope you join us in this week's challenge! Thanks for stopping by!

Accordion Mini Album Facebook Challenge

Hello, crafty peeps! I hope that you're having a wonderful day! Today I want to share with you a project I did with a Facebook group, Cardstock & Bling. Since I had never made an accordion album before, this was a real challenge for me! Thank goodness they provided a tutorial link! Whew! Here is a link for that YouTube channel: Kim Kan't Stop Krafting. If you do decide to make this awesome little album, be sure to watch it through first, as it has some pointers in there.

Here is my album, using some Prima paper. For the life of me, I can't remember the name of it and I no longer have the cover to the pad. (insert sad face here....)

Double Pocket Inserts w/Magnetic Inserts

Because this posting includes a tutorial on the making of this album, I won't go into that kind of details. But suffice it to say, it was challenging at times, but I really enjoyed it. The tutorial was very well made. I do plan on making more!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Outlawz Color Challenge - Sept 5th

Hello, crafters! Today began a new Color Challenge over at The Outlawz! And for this month, we have a new sponsor: the amazing SheepSki Designs!

Our winner will get 3 digis from the store!
Here is our Photo Inspiration picked out by our very own Kimberly Pate:

Now let me share with you what I made and the image I used:

I did use my Prismacolors for this image. And since the inspiration photo had the yellow in it, I decided to go with the yellow flowers. I mounted the image and embellishments onto a piece of Kraft paper. Under the image itself is a piece of gold metallic "mesh" someone had given me. I kept wondering what I was going to do with it...and voila! There you have it! It makes a great piece for under the image! The butterfly is from Reneabouquets, along with the Diamond Glass Glitter on the flowers.

I can't wait to see what you create for this week's challenge! And thanks for stopping by!
