Papercraft Business 1st Challenge is Here!

Hi, crafters! I'm so excited to announce to you that today begins a New Challenge Blog over at Papercraft Business! And I've been asked to be a part of the Design Team! So with that said, here are some important information for you. First, our THEME: We are an Anything Goes Challenge Blog. That means  cards, tags, mixed media, etc. Optional: Christmas for an extra entry to win the prize! This is a monthly challenge, so it ends December 31st, 2017.

The winning prize is: Magnolia Designs – Christmas Eve Edwin stamp
Christmas Eve Edwin

Since the Theme is an Anything Goes with an Optional Christmas, I chose to do a Christmas. And it came right at the time I was getting ready for a craft purse swap! So I decided to go with the purse as my very first project with the Papercraft Business Challenge Blog! Here it is:

Purse Front

Purse Back

"Coin" Purse

Purse Tags

I got the purse kit from Reneabouquets. Very easy piece to put together. So getting right to papering it and embellishing it was awesome! As I can be very impatient sometimes to get the embellishing started! And the paper all came from Secret Garden Crafty City

I went with pretty simple embellishing on the tags, as I wanted the beautiful prints on the paper to show up. I hope you enjoyed looking at my project, and that you will join us in our first ever challenge!

Blessings, Jeanie Ellis - Scrapbookingmamaw

Entered in the following challenge:

Outlawz Color Challenge Week of 11/28/2017

Hello, everyone! Today begins a new Color Challenge over at The Outlawz! And this week's amazing Sponsor is:
Prize: $12 Gift Certificate

And this week's Photo Inspiration has been chosen by fellow teammie, Jacqui. I love the colors of the inspiration! Here it is:
Twist: Anything but a Square!
Aren't those some beautiful colors?? I love them! And doing anything but a square, got my creative juices flowing! With that said, I decided to do a Z-Fold card. There's a lot of tutorials out there in Pinterest. Thank goodness! Ha! Now on to what I made:
Front of Card

Opened
You would think making a Z-fold might be a little complicated, but it wasn't that hard at all. The example I used didn't have as much of the background showing (mine being the purple), so I made it a little wider margins. I decided to put my sentiment in the middle of the card on the green background, with the sentiment in the blues. My snowflake was colored Art Alchemy Acrylic Paint Sparks - Fairy Wings. I added the green twine bows I got from Whisker Graphics.   On the front, I added some Diamond Glass Glitter from Reneabouquets.  Putting the glass glitter on seemed to make my blue pop more, which is exactly what I wanted. :)

With all that being said, I will be taking a leave of absence from The Outlawz for a bit. I will miss my fellow teammies, but I will be back with them the 1st of March, 2018! Thanks to all my teammates there who have made it so enjoyable! And Laurian...wow! What a great Admin! Thanks to her for all her patience! This will give her a rest too....hahaha! I will be back!

Please join us for this amazing Color Challenge! You never know...you might be the winner for this month!

JessicaLynnOriginal New Stamp Releases!

Hello, Everyone! Welcome to another Brand New Stamp Release, You're Never Too Old to Dream, by JessicaLynnOriginal! These are so adorable! I loved the movie Tangled...in fact, even my husband did! So when Jessica came out with this new acrylic stamp release, I thought...oh my goodness! This is going to be fun! (Be sure to read to the end...there's a special offer!)

For my 1st project, I went with making a tag. I layered the black foundational tag with 2 small printed tags, using the colors of her dress. I then put a lavender "bling" ribbon in a diagonal manner, added pearl drops, and all the characters. I stamped the hearts on last, because I wanted to put them around the lanterns.
I made a 2nd Tag with this set also. Here it is:
So with this project, I used 2 tags...a small one and a large one. These tags are from a company called Whisker Graphics. I used my Tim Holtz ink oxides to color both tags: Bone China, Pickled Raspberry, and a little bit of Walnut Stain. A quick and easy way to get a great background!

Now let me share with you a card I made using her 2nd New Stamp Release, Miracles Take Time.

This card was super fun to do! Although it's more of a CAS, it still has some "style" to it, with the background embossing and stitching. And I adore those mice!! They are so cute!

Now the 2nd card from this set:
This card came out so much better than I thought it would! The carriage is made from ovals...a die cut, actually. The paper was strong enough that it just simply embossed the leaf pattern of the die, but I was able to take the oval out. I also used the leaves from the die onto the side of the carriage. Circles were made for the wheels, and I hand cut the stem and the leaf. The couple was colored in with some Prismacolors, and some colored markers, as well as the mice. I added the sentiment in, and a flower on top of the oval "window".

NOW FOR THE SPECIAL: Anyone who buys both sets of these steps, will be offered this FREE DIGITAL over the weekend!
Be sure to go to JessicaLynnOriginal to check out all the available stamps she has! And while you're at it, Meet the Design Team to see what awesome projects they made with these stamps, by following JessicaLynnOriginal blog:

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #150 - To "Die" For

Hello, fellow crafters! Today I want to share with you my tag I made for this week's Crafty Gals Corner Challenges! This week the challenge is To "Die" For! And we have 2 amazing Sponsors! They are:

Prize: 3 Digital Images

Prize: 3 Digital Images

I decided to make a Tag using the Yarn Lover Rose image.  Here it is:
Isn't she a cutie?? So for my dies, I used my Silhouette to cut out the tag, and my Big Shot to cut out the doily, the 2 mats behind the doily, and the little branches. I used colored markers to color my image in.

She was fairly simple to do, but I love the look of the tag! I sure hope that you will join us in our challenges this week! And thanks for stopping by!

ScrapbookingwithM.E. Boutique Mini-Album Swap!

Hello, crafty world! I want to share with you today an album I made for a Swap in the ScrapbookingwithM.E. Members page Tag Mini-Album Swap! It was so much fun to do! While I won't go into the details of how I made it....I will say that I used the Silhouette Portrait to do most of the cutting, including the tags. I have put it in my Facebook Projects Page, Crafts by Jeanie. Please check out this page, as I have several items in there of different projects I have made.

Now here are glimpses of the album:

I also made some pins for my swappie, and a few other things.

Thank you so very much for stopping by! Be sure to check out the links above for more of my projects in the Crafts by Jeanie Facebook page! And like and follow too...it would be so much appreciated if you do!

Outlawz Color Challenge Nov 21, 2017

Hello, crafty world! Today I want to share with you this week's Color Challenge with The Outlawz. And this week's amazing Sponsor is:
Prize: $12 Gift Certificate
So for this week's Photo Inspiration...picked by none other than yours truly...is the Color Orange with your pick of 2 other colors, and the Twist of Thanksgiving or a Thankful card. Here is the Photo Inspiration:
Aren't the colors beautiful in this? So I decided to use the pumpkins and leaves as my inspiration. I used a digital made by JessicaLynnOriginal. It was a free digital Jessica had on her Facebook page. I had downloaded and almost forgotten about it. Then with the photo inspiration, I thought this would be perfect!

I colored the pumpkin with my markers, but then came in and did some shading with my colored pencils. I added the leaf appliques that were made by KPKre8tions.   I made the base of the card in green, then the mounted piece in yellows and oranges. I then added all the elements of the card and added a sentiment.

I hope you join in on this week's challenge! And be sure to check out the Design Teams cards, too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Createful Hearts Digis & Designs - Challenge #6

Hello, fellow crafters! Today I want to share with you that Createful Hearts Digis & Designs has begun a new Anything Goes challenge today! So that means I want to share with you what I did for this project, using one of Mary's images (of course!).

I went with one of Mary's newer images, Cynthia 1920 Chic. I'm telling ya, this Flapper Girl is so pretty! One of my faves! Now let me show you what I did with her:
Of course, the first thing I did was to print and cut her out with my Silhouette. Then I decided on what colors I wanted her to be in, using my Prismacolors. Then I used different colors of Stickles to put "dimension" on the beads in her cap. Once finished with her, I cut out another piece for a "frame" around her, and mounted that on top of a black card base. I added some wedding applique from the Facebook Group, Lighthouse stop n' shop.  There's a ton of lace in there, for very reasonable prices!

After that was done, I simply added a sentiment and she was finished! I hope you like her!

Thanks for stopping by!

Shabby Chic Christmas Card

Hello, everyone! I wanted to drop in today and share a Christmas card with you. I love Shabby Chic, so when I saw a challenge posted in a Facebook group, I decided I'd go for it. But I wanted this one to be a Christmas card, as I just bought this gorgeous paper and die cut from an online store called Crafty City. I love this new designer cardstock made by Prima. This one is the Sweet Christmas paper pad. Here is my card:
I wish the glitter on the poinsettia would show up better, because it sure is pretty! First, I made the poinsettia following the YouTube channel of Archana Joshi, tutorial LINK HERE. I then took some white as a base for the card, making it an A2 card. I cut out some paper from the pad, and distress the edges of it, then mounted it onto the white. I then cut out the girl image and mounted her on top of the 2nd layer. I used my Big Shot to cut out the blue and pink branches you see up there (also from Crafty City.  I added snowflakes, pearls, a pearl trim, and a pink rose trim to the card. Lastly, I added a white rose to the bottom right of the card (what's Shabby Chic without at least one rose, right??). The rose was also from Crafty City.

I entered this card into the Facebook Page Play Creative. You do have to join the group to participate. I have also entered it into The Merry Christmas Challenge Blog, #42, Anything Goes + Christmas - Twist: Add Snow. I have snowflakes.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenges #148 - Ribbons & Lace!

Hello, everyone! Today I want to share with you this week's Challenge #148 over at Crafty Gals Corner Challenges - The theme...RIBBONS & LACE! I love ribbons and lace, don't you? And this week our sponsor is the amazing
Prize: 3 digital images

For this challenge, I'm using the Water Fairy image. I think she's a lovely little fairy, so tiny that she's able to sit on a very delicate flower. So I wanted her to look delicate, too. I think using Ribbons and Lace for her was a perfect combination! And I decided not to go with the usual pinks, pastels...I wanted the flower to stand out, without overwhelming her. :)
I used my Silhouette to cut her out, and then colored her up with my Prismacolors. I thought about using markers, but I felt the pencils would give me more of the control I want in combining the colors. I then took a white card base and added 2 pieces of designer paper, adding the sentiment and the elements for the theme, plus I added some flat pearls.

She was very fun to do! I hope you will join us for this week's challenge! See you there! And thanks for stopping by! Please follow my blog!
