Christmas in July - Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #232

Hello, fellow crafters! Guess what time it is?? It's time for a new monthly challenge over at The Crafty Gals Challenge Blog! The theme for this challenge is:

~ Christmas in July ~

Our sole sponsor for this challenge is

Prize ~  $10 Gift Certificate

I just LOVE Christmas! So I'm always excited to make something for Christmas! And it's never too early to start making Christmas cards! I never seem to have enough or I forgot someone! 😲 So, here I have my card, using a Poinsettia Set from Beccy's Place:

I love working with poinsettias. They add a special classy touch to a card. So the first thing that I did, was to print my images onto a white cardstock (Paper Temptress) using my laser printer. Then I placed red deco foil onto the image and sentiment and ran it through my laminator. I was going to leave it white, but I thought it too plain, so I colored the image. I placed that onto a piece of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" of red mounting paper. And then it was done!

I hope that this card inspires you to do a Christmas creation and to join our challenge! We always have such wonderful cards come in!

Thank you for stopping by!

MLCCB #45 Anything Christmas Goes

Hello, everyone! And welcome to my blog! Today, I'm excited to share with you my card as a new Designer with Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog (or MLCCB). I've been wanting to get on a Christmas team, but with all the sicknesses I have dealt with for several months, I just wasn't able to do any searches. And now that I'm feeling better, I have become one of the designers over at MLCCB! :)

So, here it is, July 1st (can this be right??), and we begin our challenge #45. Be sure to check out the blog and enter! It'll be fun!

I started by making a fairly simple Christmas card. Here it is:

First I made a base for my card. And....because I got the new hot foil glimmer machine, I of course had to use it! I wanted this to be an all foil card, so I did the sentiment in blue, with the pine leaves. I also used a Sizzix die to cut out an oval frame using gold foil paper from Paper Temptress. I got the foil plates from Spellbinders

It was a pretty simple card, but with the foil it gives it a class of elegance (I hope!). I hope that this card will inspire you to join us for this challenge! It can be ANYTHING CHRISTMAS, not just cards! Most of all, just have fun!

Blessings! Until next time,
