And not only that, a prize to be given away too! Before I get into the challenge, let me show you what the prize is for this month's winner:
This die coordinates with the stamp set "Believe in Yourself". What a great prize! Now let me tell you about the challenge.
This month's challenge is to use your oldest paper and tell us a bit about it. You know how you have paper in your stash and you wonder why you bought it?? Or you bought some gorgeous paper and you just hate to use it?? So they've been in your stash awhile....I have some of that! My paper is at least 5 years old (maybe older, but I'm not sure anymore. Lol). It's from The Paper Studio and is called Kellerkurtz & Company. It really is pretty paper, but it wasn't one of my favorites. I like heavier paper, and this is pretty thin. And I still have a ton of it left! So here is what I did: a very good friend of mine...my BFF actually...sent me this link to make a Six Fold Card. I thought this would be the perfect project for this paper! Here is my card:
Unfolded
Opened
Now, I have to tell you, this looked pretty complicated to do, but I thought I'd give it a try anyway. My BFF has a lot more confidence in me than I do! Lol. As it turned out, it was really easy! If you want to try this, here is the link to Dawn's Stamping Thoughts tutorial HERE.
You see the embellishments inside (the flowers and the bees)? I've had those awhile too. My sister had given me 2 sets of these. While I used one of them, I wasn't so sure I'd ever use the other set. So they've been in my stash awhile too (maybe 3 years). So I put them onto my paper and colored them in with my Ohuhu markers.
I hope that you will join us in the challenge! When you do enter, be sure you read the rules! In this new challenge, we need to know how old your paper is and what it is. :)
Thanks for stopping by!
