Papercraft Business Challenge - Theme is CIRCLES!

Hello everyone! And welcome to another monthly challenge over at Papercraft Business Challenge Blog!   I love making shaker cards, and this one is no exception! And wow! Take a look at this awesome prize!
August Challenge Prize: Whimsy Stamps - Wee Florist

So let me share with you now what I made for the Use a Circle Challenge:

I used a thin cuts die and foam to make my Shaker as the circle for my card. I cut out a banner for the side of the card and placed my circle on the card base. Inside the shaker I added sequins, then placed rhinestones around that. The sentiment was easy, as it was part of the paper pack that I got from Crafty City.  Take a look there....there's a lot of beautiful paper there! I also added some tiny mirrors I had in my stash for more "bling".

There you have it! I hope that you will join us for this month's challenge!

The Outlawz Color Challenge - July 30th

Welcome to the ColoChallenge at The OutlawzThis week we are having a Monochromatic Challenge, using shades of Yellow! Our  challenge board is:
Beautiful Colors! Just pick at least 3 to join in on the fun!

Our Sponsor for the month of July is the amazing......
A Day for Daisies

Now that I have the "preliminaries" out of the way, let me share with you what I made.
Instead of making a card, I decided to go along with making a tag. I had made a card, but I was so unhappy with that card. The more I tried to enhance it, the worse it got! Ugh! So I gave up on it and decided to wait to work on another project. So today I got it done, and there you have what I did!
I layered different sheets of cardstock...the bottom layer (base layer) was yellow, then I tore designer cardstocks and placed in a couple of strategic places. Then I added a very light creamy yellow embroidery lace with yellow trim in between the lace. The last things I added was the yellow gold hanging beads to the bottom and a seam binding to the top as a hanger. I also had a flower that I took apart and rearranged and added a gold frame.

I hope that you enjoy this and that it inspired you to create and join us for this challenge! Thank you for stopping by!

The Outlawz Color Challenge - Week July 15, 2019

Welcome to the ColoChallenge at The Outlawz! Color Challenges are so fun...it takes the guess work out of what you want to color. That helps me a lot...I don't have to make a decision! Our sponsor for this challenge is:
This week fellow teammie, Jacqui, has created a simple little tic-tac-toe board for you. You know how to play, any line across; diagonal or up/down!

For my card, I used the middle row, down. Here is my card:

I love coloring with pink. Not that it's a favorite color of mine, but it's so girly and shabby chic. I used an image called Lady Black Feathers.....even though I colored in Pink.

I hope that you will join us for this challenge! Thank you for stopping by!

Love Yourself - Splashy Mix Media Challenge #7

Hello, fellow crafters! I'm here today to share with you my Design Team project for Splashy Mix Media!   Usually, we're creating something for someone else...birthday, anniversary, special occasion, etc. But how often do we do something for ourselves? Not often! So for this month, our theme is FOR YOU (LOVE YOURSELF). And use a photo or something of yourself. I don't know about you, but that's a very hard thing for me to do, especially since I don't like to take my picture. Ugh! Now let's take a look at the Challenge Board -

I love the sentiment on this board! To me, this was a clean and simple board...so here is what I came up with for this challenge:

As I don't like to fuss over myself, I went with the clean and simple design.

Here are some steps I took:
Step 1: I found a profile picture of me, and printed it in black and white. Once it was printed, I turned it over and completely covered the back of the photo with my pencil. I then turned it over to the front and traced my photo onto the canvas. It worked like a transfer sheet. I traced that with a black marker and colored in the red lips, as in the example challenge board.

Step 2: I then painted my canvas with black acrylic paint. I used different colors of paste and randomly spread the colors all over in layers.

Step 3: While that was drying, I got some gold vinyl paper and cut out the letters for my sentiment by using my Silhouette Cameo 3. I then took an 8 x 10 chipboard piece and adhered some Paper Temptress card stock on top of the chipboard.  I cut out the individual sizes I needed for each part of the sentiment and placed the letters on top of the board.

Step 4: I found some white flowers in my stash, and sprayed them with a tea stain colored mist spray. While that was drying, I took my sentiment pieces and adhered them to the canvas.

Step 5: I then added my flowers and the beautiful butterflies you see there, from Reneabouquets.

I hope that you will join us for this awesome challenge! So much fun! After I got over the initial shock of having to do something with my face on it, I was quite happy with the outcome (even my hubby loved it).

Thanks for stopping by!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #195 - Summer Fun!

Hello, everyone! And welcome to my blog! Today I want to share with you my card for Challenge #195: Summer Fun

Our sponsor for this challenge is:

Prize: 3 Digital Stamps
What a great fun challenge this is! I love The Paper Shelter! They have beautiful images! And what's more, if you don't have the time and you need a card in a hurry, they provide pre-colored images! How cool is that! Now here is my card - Cutest Ice Cream Cart.

With all the health issues going on, a death in the family, etc.....the pre-colored card was perfect for me! All I needed to do was to print it out and add some sentiments to it. Plus put her on some Paper Temptress card stock, add some bling, and add some Diamond glass glitter.

I hope that you will join us for this challenge! We also love seeing what you create!
