Hello, my crafty friends! It's a new week here for Crafty Gals Corner Challenges!   This week's #30 challenge is Anything Goes! There are a lot of crafty goodness going on out there! So, let's see what you come up with! Be sure your link your challenge over at the Crafty Gals Corner blog to enter!

This week's sponsors are:

Prize: 3 Digital Images
and

My Besties

Prize: 3 of digital images DT used

Here is the card I created using My Besties.  I normally use my Prima Watercolor pencils. I got this technique on YouTube, but I can't remember who posted it. So if you know, please just contact me so I can give proper credit. :-D

I love layering....the more the merrier for me! But I do try to keep it "at bay" so I don't make a heavy card. And I also use glass glitter from ReneaBouquets....love them!! And I love Cindy's lace (I buy them through the Lighthouse Stop n Shop Facebook Page).

This little digital was so fun to work with! I can't tell you how much I enjoyed it! Scroll on down to see my DT creation! :-D

I sure hope you enjoyed it! Stop by again...and remember to HAVE FUN with your challenge project!

Happy Wednesday, everyone! It's time for another challenge from Crafty Gals Corner! This week's challenge is To Die For. Use several dies.....already cut out dies, metal dies, paper dies, machine dies....etc! This week's sponsors are All Dressed Up and STAMPlorations.

I did 2 projects this week, with the first one being Mirror, Mirror by All Dressed Up and the second one was Sketched Roses by STAMPlorations. With each one, I basically began with the same technique...stenciled a pattern and then colored over them with the Inklingz Shimmerz Watercolors. I used a metallic pen and then added glass glitter over the mirror to give it more of a sparkle to the glass. All glass glitter was bought from ReneaBouquets. Then I added various die cuts, including butterflies from Renea's and clock diecuts and butterflies. I always trim the edge of the canvas with lace or ribbon. I used my Prima Watercolor pencils on each of my digital images. I LOVE those pencils!

The Sketched Roses was was placed over 2 die cut butterflies I had cut with my Big Shot. I added Tim Holtz distress glitter to the edge of each of them. Then I added various die cut elements and layers. I normally use lace in each of my mixed media projects. For me, it just adds a bit of "flair" to the project.

Have fun with your challenge! I can't wait to see them all!

It's that time again! Time for what? A new challenge! This week the challenge is Christmas in July and our sponsor is Kenny K! I love seeing all the entries at Crafty Gals Corner! I hope you can join us! Below is my inspiration for this week's challenge.

Our sponsor this week is:

Prize: 3 Digital Images

City Star Christmas

I really had fun with her, especially because I LOVE Christmas (mainly because of the reason for it but also because I love making Christmas crafts!). I was going to use the traditional colors of Christmas, but decided that she looked more like a "pink lady"...all girly. So I used my Prima watercolor pencils and some Prismacolor pencils and colored her in all pink. I don't know if you can see it, but after I colored the "snow" in the back, I added Glass Glitter from ReneaBouquets through her Etsy store.

I then cut out my base tag made from chipboard. I colored it with Inklingz Shimmering Watercolors I bought through the ScrapbookingwithMe Boutique Facebook page. Then I added the doily (Trimcraft Sweet Paris Paper line, boutique) and the canvas band onto it after the colors had dried. To keep the layers going, I also colored the canvas stocking and heat dried it, then adhered it to the top. I mounted her (I call her Holly Molly *wink*) with foam tape. Oh, I also added pink glitter glass to her stocking cap.

The snow flakes are from American Crafts POW Glitter Paper I also bought from the boutique, along with the bow. Everything else I already had in my stash, including the tree. The tree was actually a button I had bought in a pack from Hobby Lobby. I just cut the "loop" from the back of it so it would lay flat. Once that was done, I attached the ribbon around the perimeter of the tag, then added more of the glitter paper onto the back to hide all that "messy work". ;-)

I hope you enjoyed my project! And I hope that you can join us at the Crafty Gals Corner blog and create your own "Christmas in July" project! I can't wait to see all the projects!

Prize: $20 Gift Certificate

For my card, I chose the Mirima image from Sweet Peas. I just love this image! There's so many ways to incorporate this image into anything! For my card, I started out with an 8x12, and folded in half to make it an 8x6". After I had colored in my image and cut it out, I used it as my measurement to cut out the window in the front of the card. I then got my plastic insert (used from leftover packaging! Why not, right?). I used a fish punch and adhered fish on both sides of the plastic. I then layered over that plastic with another piece of plastic to give it more of a "watery" look. I also added a smaller piece of plastic on the inside to make a "pocket" so I could place "jewels" inside to make it a shaker card. I trimmed the outside window with both ribbon and pearls, then burlap for the "netting". Inside the card, I trimmed more ribbon with pearls around the edge of the inside window. I foam mounted my image and then decorated with enamel dots and the cut out fish.
I hope you enjoyed this! Thanks for stopping by!

Now....on to my project....I hope you'll feel inspiration to join this challenge! And don't forget to follow the blogs below to check out their projects for more inspiration!

For my project I used My Besties #4 with the Graciellie Design03 (Summer Joy), 2-toned digital print. She was so fun to do! And the paper was perfect for my project! First off, I had a mat that was for a picture frame I had taken from an actual frame. I wanted to use it to put into another frame, but never did. When I saw the Summer Joy paper, I thought how perfect it would be as a cover for this mat! So I printed it out on an 8 1/2" x 11" white cardstock, I adhered it to the frame mat and trimmed it so I'd have the 4x6 opening for my little angel.

My next step was to get to work on my angel. I used the new Prima Watercolor Pencils to color her and Wink of Stella clear Brush Tip Pen. The yellow flower in the top left corner, I made from a scallop punch and distressed it's edges. Do you see the gold butterfly? It's actually a wooden one that I had embossed with Gold Ranger Embossing Powder.

To make a long story short, I took a piece of chipboard and added it to the back of the frame with foam squares so the whole piece will have a dimensional look to it. Oh! One more thing...do you see the tiny beads around the wings of the angels? They're from Renea Bouquets Etsy Shop.....she makes these!

I hope you found this piece inspiring....I can't wait to see what you do! Thanks for stopping by! And don't forget about the BLOG HOP links below!
