Tsunami Rose Designs July Project

Hello, crafters! Today I want to share with you a Pocket Letter I made using the digital papers from the Tsunami Rose Designs July kit. These are gorgeous papers! It's hard to believe they're digital! I went with a Pocket Letter project this time. One of my favorite things to do are Pocket Letters! I printed all the 2.5"x3.5" cards with my Silhouette. Here it is:

I used a lot of texture paste to put some layers onto each of the card fronts. Then I added ribbons, laces. trims, rhinestones, butterflies, and dragonflies. The back was slightly sprayed with a Frost mist and 3 of the card backs had a green "mousse" with a stencil. Normally, I put little glassine envelopes in the back with goodies; that's why I didn't decorate too much until I know who it's going to. ;) I hope you enjoy it!

Here are some links for you to check out, too! And be sure to stop by the other Design Team members for some awesome inspiration!

Outlawz Color Challenge July 25th

Howdy, crafty pardners! We've started a new Color Challenge over at The Outlawz today!! And our sponsor is the amazing
Prize: 4 Free Digis!!

We have a great Tic-Toe-Toe Board for you to follow! It was hard for me to choose which way I wanted to go! Here's the board:

I decided at first to go with the colors only....top left to bottom right. But then I saw the word "Sparkle" and was like, well yeah! I LOVE sparkle! So that's what I went with. Now my card:

I love this digital. One of my favorite birds is the hummingbird. And Bugaboo stamps did an excellent job making this digital! Again, I used my Prismacolors for this card. I like the way the Prismacolors give it a soft look. I also made the 3D flowers you see on the card and added some sparkle to them by using my Art Glitter Glue and sprinkling some Wow! glitter on them.

Please stop by the Outlawz and join in on the challenge! And thank you for stopping by here!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenges - Christmas in July

A big HELLO to all my fellow crafty peeps! I'm so glad you stopped by! One of my favorite things to make is Christmas cards or anything Christmas! So this week, Christmas in July is our theme. Yay! Here are our amazing sponsors for this week:

Sparkle N Sprinkle
Prize: $15 Gift Certificate

Prize: $15 Gift Certificate

My Besties
Prize: The following 3 images

I just love the image I colored. I used a My Besties image, the 1st one in the group of 3 you see above there. Love the candy canes in her hair!

I decided I would use my glitter/gel pens for the majority of this image, because I wanted some of that glitter in her outfit. And other parts, I used markers. It was hard to decide which of the 3 I wanted to do, but I'm glad I went with her. Here she is:
I had a ton of fun doing something a little different in the coloring department. But before I started her, I decided I'd go ahead and make some new flowers to make especially for this card. No, they're not the typical poinsettias. But they work! Then I used red cardstock, glitter paper, and white cardstock for the background. I added a sentiment and rhinestones, and she was done!

I hope you come by and join us in the challenge this week! And thanks for stopping by!

Prima Princesses Stamp - Aubrey

Hello once again, my fellow crafty peeps! I am excited to show you my latest tag! This is one I got from ScrapbookingwithMe Boutique through their Facebook Page. The paper in the background is the Graphic 45 Portrait of a Lady I also bought through them. Everything else is from my stash.

I had originally done this for the Tag Swap there. I was excited I had my tag all done when I read all the rules again...and found out it's 8-4"x2" tags! (I must learn to read!! Lol) Anyway, I was so proud of the fact that I had it all done! Alas....! Anyway, Let me show you my tag:

I won't go into great detail about the making of the tag, but I did use Prismacolors for her and the bird. I made the flowers you see there also. :)

I hope you enjoyed my little project! Be sure to visit ScrapbookingwithMe and tell them Jeanie sent you (Scrapbookingmamaw)!

Thanks for stopping by!

The Outlawz Color Challenge - July 18th, 2017

Hello, crafty peeps! I am so happy to share with you today my latest creation with The Outlawz Color Challenge group!  And for this month, we have the amazing Bugaboo Stamps as our sponsor!
I love the board colors for this week's inspiration! One of the reasons I love being on the DT Color Team is because the colors every week give me a new challenge and perspective! Here's the photo inspiration:

Aren't those some beautiful colors?? And the twist is Summer Fun. So for my card, I decided to go with the BugKidzBeach digital. She's a real cutie! And all ready for the fun! So, here is my card:
For this card, it was just a matter of cutting her out, coloring her (used my markers), getting my sentiment, and mounting her. But the colors had to be perfect! So behind her (directly), I printed out that paper using my Silhouette. She is so adorable!

I hope you will join in the challenge this week! The Design Team has come up with some beautiful inspiration for you! Thanks for stopping by!

The Outlawz Color Challenge - July 11th

I cannot believe that I didn't schedule this card! And it's one of my faves that I have made lately! Better late than never...?? Anyway, the new color challenge over at The Outlawz is starting soon (maybe already by the time you read this), but I wanted to share it anyway. You can still go and check it out by following this link to it HERE. Anyway, without further adieu, here is my card, which I made into an Easel Card.
This card is also by Bugaboo Stamps, named Bug Beauty. I really enjoyed making her. I used my Silhouette to color her, and I did hand make the flowers using my punch. I followed a fantastic YouTube teacher Archana Joshi

Thank you for stopping by, and looking at my very late card! But I wanted you to see her anyway.

JessicaLynnOriginal DT Project!

Hello, everyone! Today I want to share with you another project I made using a digital image from JessicaLynnOriginal. And such a cute image it is, too! This is the Oz Owls. These are just so adorable! I had a lot of fun coloring them up!

Here is my card:
Oz Owls
This digital could be used for a graduation or new job celebration, for sure! I used my markers to color the image in. After I colored it, I simply mounted it to a slip of yellow cardstock, then onto the blue, and then onto the mint green. For me, the yellow represented the yellow brick road, the blue a sky (maybe not the light blue, but the light blue didn't let it pop), and then the mint green the ground. I added very tiny gold sequins onto the yellow and pearls on the right top edge of the card.

Isn't the a cute image?? It could also be great as a birthday card, too!

I  hope you enjoyed this project of mine. And thanks for stopping by!

Sunsational Stamps Guest Designer Spot - July 11th!

Hello, crafters! I'm so excited to announce that I've been asked to do a Guest Designer spot for Sunsational Stamps! And the theme for this month is Christmas in July! But first, a bit about Sunsational Stamps:

"Sunsational Crafts is a small company from Minnesota that specializes in crafting products such as our own clear stamp line, dies, paper & more that are whimsical and fun. Sunsational Crafts was started in 2016 by Lisa Peters. Sunsational Crafts is a place where all your paper crafting needs are met.
Lisa Peters is the designer and illustrator who has a love for crafting which started long before Sunsational Crafts was even a dream. Her passion is a driving force at Sunsational Crafts! She enjoys spending her free time playing games, reading, lots of different crafting, and relaxing with her four children, grandson and her fur baby, Pugsley. She strives to create cute stamps and crafting goodies that are truly one of a kind."
I was very excited about the opportunity to do a design project for this fairly new company. And I received the cutest little digital to use in my project! Jingles is the cutest little thing who has her best friend with her, enjoying the holidays by the expressions on their faces! So I decided to do a tag with her. Here it is:
She was so fun to color! I used my markers, then went over the markers with my Prismacolors. It seemed to give it more of a depth to the colors. I then set her aside and worked on my tag, cutting it out with my Fiskars and then layering it with musical paper and then a couple rectangle sheets underneath. I used Tim Holtz distress inks on all the edges of the papers. I then hot glued the lace border with lace pearl drops onto the bottom of the tag and added a sentiment to that.

Before I adhered her to the tag, I angled some lace from the top right to the bottom left and glued it on. A large snowflake with a rhinestone was added to the top along with a butterfly from Reneabouquets. I added a die cut Christmas tree to the background and finally adhered Jingles onto the tag with some 3D foam squares. Finally, I added some pearl sprays to the side and slipped tinsel through the punched hole in the top.

I am so very glad you stopped by! It's such a blessing when you do! And be sure to check out Sunsational Stamps!

Blessings, Jeanie Ellis - Scrapbookingmamaw

Through the Craft Room Door DT Project

Hello, crafty peeps! Today begins a new challenge over at Through the Craft Room Door!  So with that said, let me give you a bit of information about our wonderful sponsor, Sheepski Designs
Blurb
Living in Leeds, Yorkshire in the UK, working full time as a Management Accountant, currently working on 2 design teams and an obsessive crafter and creator of cards. I have no actual style as yet but do love the unusual and quirky. I may be known for producing cards in soft pastel colours.
I love anything arty. I've always drawn stuff, for as long as I can remember. In my younger days I sold a few watercolour paintings. I recently found mixed media which is a joy and love creating canvases with flowers.
I had a battle with digital drawing for about a year and finally found some software I could gel with. January 2016 a challenge team I worked on was short of a designer's images to create with so I drew some. I opened my shop a month later so I could sponsor challenges and give something back to the crafting world, to the lovely ladies who have supported me on my journey.
I've a Facebook group SheepSki Designs where I hold challenges, some for fun to win digis as well as my monthly card challenge. I've a SheepSki Designs challenge blog as well. Things are growing slowly (thankfully) so I still manage to spend at least a little time with my hubby :D
Welcome to my world
Andrea xx

Now let me share with you my what I made with the lovely digital image, My Fair Lady:
 TAG

Close Up
I have to say, she was a lot of fun to do! And you hopefully know me by now...I LOVE tags!! Haha! All the details along with supplies used will be in the next magazine, Sept/October 2017. So be sure to stay tuned! And be sure to join in on the challenges! They're a lot of fun along with some great prizes as giveaways!

Createful Heart Digis & Designs - 1st DT Project

Hello, crafty peeps! First, I want to remind you of a new Digital Etsy Store and that the Challenges will be posted on the blog! The name of the new Digital Challenge Blog is Createful Heart Digis & Designs! This is a fairly new blog, so I hope you come on out and support this amazing new site!
To start off, Mary Smith, owner/creator of this site, is holding a Facebook "Mini-Challenge" for this month from July 8th through July 21st. She also has a free digital to give away for you to be able to download and enter the challenge! How awesome! So, as my first project as a new Designer for Createful Heart, I used the same image that she's giving away to members of her group and made a card with it. Here it is:
Isn't he just the cutest little bug?? This image is the Dragonfly Hi digital. Can you see the wave of his little hand? Just an FYI here: the edges of the 2 background papers were distressed with an electric distressing tool! Have you ever heard of one? My sister bought it in the clearance rack at Hobby Lobby, and I was like....WHA...??? Anyway, she let me use it (no, I didn't put it in my purse when I left her house...Lol). And then I took some Tim Holtz distress ink and went along the edges of the papers.

I sure hope you come join us! Thanks for stopping by!

MoonFlower Digi's
Prize: $10 Gift Certificate

For my project, I chose the Peony Maiden. I colored her all up with my Prismacolors, and started thinking about how I wanted to do my card. However, as I further thought, I changed my plan from a card to a layout page. And I'm glad I did!

I recently did a Loaded Envelope swap in a Facebook group, and my swap partner gave me some awesome flowers, laces, and cards. So they went perfectly with my layout. Now let me show you what I did:

You might not be able to tell much because of the size, but believe me, she was a lot of fun! (You can click on the image to enlarge her if you want.) I sometimes make my own flowers, but these were perfect. The larger ones were in my stash already, plus the butterfly at the bottom is from Reneabouquets

Be sure to stop by each of the DT's blogs and grab the letter for the hop! And also post a comment. If you do both, you'll be eligible for the prize! Have fun hopping!!
