Crafty Gals Corner Challenges #192 - Fancy Fold

Hello, crafters! Today began a new challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner!  And for this challenge - FANCY FOLD - we have the amazing sponsor....

Prize ~ $10 Gift Certificate
My fellow teammates and I have been very busy making our cards for this awesome theme! I LOVE fancy fold cards! So let me share with you what I made, using a tutorial from Dawn's Stamping Thought. This card is called an Interlocking Rectangle Gate Fold Card (here link HERE). I never want to take credit for something I made using someone else's tutorial.

So here's my card:

Contemplation - Moonflower

Rather than telling you how I made the fold, I've added the link to the tutorial that I got. Mine is slightly different, but still the same technique. I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color her in.

I hope that you will join us for this fortnight challenge! And thank you so much for stopping by!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenges Blog Hop!

Hello! Welcome to the Crafty Gals Corner Blog Hop! We do these blog hops twice a year in order to welcome our newest team members! Some of these lovely ladies even have extra candy you can win, in addition to the sponsor prizes!

In order to win the sponsor prizes, however, you need to leave a comment ON EACH of the gals below. In addition, each of these gals has a letter you must collect. Mine is listed below. At the end of the hop return to the Crafty Gals Corner post and leave a comment with the Secret Word!

Prize: $10 Gift Certificate

For my project, I chose the Peony Maiden. I colored her all up with my Prismacolors, and started thinking about how I wanted to do my card. However, as I further thought, I changed my plan from a card to a layout page. And I'm glad I did!

I recently did a Loaded Envelope swap in a Facebook group, and my swap partner gave me some awesome flowers, laces, and cards. So they went perfectly with my layout. Now let me show you what I did:

You might not be able to tell much because of the size, but believe me, she was a lot of fun! (You can click on the image to enlarge her if you want.) I sometimes make my own flowers, but these were perfect. The larger ones were in my stash already, plus the butterfly at the bottom is from Reneabouquets.

Be sure to stop by each of the DT's blogs and grab the letter for the hop! And also post a comment. If you do both, you'll be eligible for the prize! Have fun hopping!!
