Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #39!
This week the challenge is Things with Wings or Mythical Creatures!

Our sponsor this week is:

Faery Ink
Prize: 3 digital images

Here is my project for this week! Penelope Faery Dust! I had lots of fun with this one! I first printed out my digital, got her all colored up with my Prima pencils. :-)  I used Glossy Accents on her hair and sprinkled glitter on it, and also part of her top. I used the same gloss on her wings, but sprinkled Glitter Glass I bought through Reneabouquets

And then I got to thinking...exactly what is a Dust Faery anyway? What I found were crafters making little doors for fairies. And that in turn, intrigued me. I figured, well, my little "faery" needed a door, so I proceeded to make the door. I measured the height of my faery, and then added about 3" more, and cut out a rectangle chipboard. Then I took corrugated cardstock and made the trims around the door and made the roof. I added smaller pieces of chipboard to make the molded look into the door. I cut out the "window", and framed it with molding also. Then I used mulberry paper for the "stain glass" kind of look, placed it onto sticky paper, and then adhered it to the backside of the window. I painted Gesso all over it, let it dry, then smeared gold metallic rub to give it more of an aged look.

The vine you see is made from chipboard, which I bought through Renea's shop also. I colored the vine with the 3D Stamp-Paint I bought through ScrapbookingwithMe Boutique. I handmade the flowers using mulberry paper and sprinkled them with glitter also. I think I finally have the hang of making the flowers. Lol.

Now let's see what you create with your challenge for this week! I can't wait to see what you do!

And I LOVE sparkle and glitter! :-D

Our sponsors this week are:

Prize: $20 gift certificate

AND

Stitchy Bear Digital Outlet

Prize: $10 gift certificate

Here is my project for this week's challenge:

This took a little work to do, but it was all worth it in the end. I first used metallic rub paints on the background. While that was drying, I proceeded to color the church and tree, etc. I used my Prima watercolor pencils on them, With the church windows, I used my Shimmerz paints. Before I place it onto my mat board, I used Liquitex Glass Beads to spread around the area where the church would be and sprinkled Glass Glitter and turquoise Finnabair Glass Beads onto it so they would dry into the Liquitex. After everything was dry, I placed my the scene onto the board, and used Ranger Texture paste as the snow, so it would be built up. I sprinkled fine glitter onto the snow. You'll see I did that with the tree and the church roof and windows, too. I used Swarvski rhinestones onto the tree and trimmed the edge of the board with LED lights and lace. To put the lights on, I used my Scor-tape around the edge and stuck it on there, and put Scor-tape onto the lace to make it a ribbon around the edge also. The large snowflake was embossed with Ranger snowflake powder. I was pleased with the way it turned out. The picture really doesn't do it justice! (I don't normally say that about one of my "creations", but I must say, it came out as I envisioned it. Yay!)

I hope you enjoyed it! And be sure to go to Crafty Gals Corner Challenges to enter your project! BUT HAVE FUN!!
Blessings, Jeanie

This week the challenge is Anything Goes! with
Crafty Gals Corner Challenges

Our sponsors this week are:

The Paper Nest Dolls
Prize: $20 gift certificate

AND

Lemon Shortbread
Prize: 3 digital images

Winter Snow Muff Shoujo

I'm afraid this picture does not do it justice. Lots of bling in this one! Even my husband loves it! I started out, once again, with those Shimmerz that I love (from Scrapbooking with Me Boutique - SWMB). Once I got that done, and after I had colored her and glammed her up with Glass Glitter Beads and very fine white glitter, I placed her on top, and centered her. I used Snow Write around her feet, so it would look like she was standing in snow. I embossed the Chipboard Swirls (Reneabouquets Shop) and used Stampendous Shabby White embossing powder on the (from SWMB). The butterfly and the beautiful pearl jewel are from Renea's. You need to check out these 2 shops! They have great items. And the butterflies are all handmade by Renea. I used a TH stencil to mimic the "snow" falling. The blue mulberry flowers I had made from scraps of mulberry paper I happened to come across. I added texture paste on top of them. Then I used lace from Lighthous stop n' shop (a sister FB group with SWMB). Cindy's laces are truly amazing! All links are included on my home page. The little jewel pieces on the swirls were in my stash. I just added Glass Beads and Flat-backed Pearls onto them with jewelry glue. Those also came from SWMB.

Now, let's see what you do! I LOVE looking at all the projects for each challenge!! HAVE FUN!!

Many blessings!!

It's time for Challenge #36:  Bingo Challenge #2!

Our sponsor this week is:

Nikki Burnette
Prize: 3 digital images

Here is my challenge project!
Analiese Tag

I love making tags! They're miniature mixed media art, and you can hang them anywhere you like! I cut out the shape and size of the tag I wanted out of chipboard. I always try to cover the back (hide any of those boo-boos or messes {insert wink here}). Before I do anything else, I normally color my digi first so it will be well set. Prima Watercolors are usually what I color with. After I finished the coloring, I added the POW Glitter Paper....I've got to tell you, it's awesome!! That glitter does not come off! And it's beautiful! I got that from the ScrapbookingwithMeBoutique. Then I proceeded to putting the picture on, and layered it with lace on the bottom of her skirt, trimmed the edge of the tag with black lace and added a couple of flat-backed pearls, put a Prima miniature frame on after I had rubbed gold metallic color onto it, added all the butterflies which I had made, put a key on the bottom left and a tiny flower I had made on the bottom right. Then comes the glass glitter! I absolutely love those! And I always buy them from Reneabouquets. I also placed Glass Beads from SBWM boutique in various places. Lastly, I  used metallic red and gold ribbon to hang the tag. Oh, I almost forgot; I also put gold rhinestone strand on her "ribbon" tie.

And she was done! Can you tell I LOVE bling? I hope you enjoyed it! And visit me on my YouTube channel.

Time for Challenge #35! This week the challenge is Embossing!

Our sponsors this week are:

Beccy's Place
Prize: 3 digital images or 1 digital set

AND

DeeDee's Digis
Prize: $15 Gift Certificate

Here is my DT project for this week. I used the Scarlet Robin from Beccy's Place. I love birds, so this was totally a fun project for me! I printed the bird larger than I had originally intended to do, but once I did, I figured I would go ahead and use it anyway. Once again, I used my Prima watercolors...which I may have to buy really soon, as they're starting to get smaller! I used black cardstock as my base, then trimmed red cardstock to layer on the outside cover. I then embossed my white cardstock as my dry emboss technique. I had a wooden chipboard piece I bought from ScrapbookingwithMe Boutique via their Facebook page, so I decided to use it for my wet embossing. I pressed my wooden piece into my BIG Emboss It (Clear) Ranger pad (from Reneabouquets). I then used the Stampendous Aged Rose embossing enamel and the Stampendous Shabby White embossing enamel. I just happen to like the look. I added ribbon toward the lower bottom of the white, then adhered my wooden piece. Then I added flat-backed pearls from the SWMB. I also glued Sand Glass Glitter from Renea's. I put gloss on the beak and on the eye of the robin. And then I called it done! I didn't do anything to the inside as yet, because I wasn't sure what I'm going to use it for. I hope you enjoy it, and even more, I hope you join in the challenge and let me see what you've done!

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check out my YouTube channel too! (link in sidebar)
