Papercraft Business Challenge #9 - August! Optional-Summer

Hello, crafters! Today begins a new challenge over at the Papercraft Business Challenge Blog - #9! This time it's Anything Goes with an optional SUMMER theme. And we have a new prize for the winner of the August challenge! Here it is:
Jillibean Soup - Sunshine Stamp

What a great stamp set that is! You'll want to try for this one! ;) Now for my project:

I got this amazing kit from a website store, Crafty City, the Balkon Royal:
To me, sitting on a balcony just screams summer! So I thought I'd take this awesome kit and see what I could do with it! So here it is:
FRONT

ANGLED VIEW

BACK

GARDEN CLOSE-UP
COLLAGE

Wow! What a project it turned out to be! Not because it was hard, but because it took more time to decorate it than I thought. But once I got started with it, there was no stopping me! I really had to "control" myself so as to not overcrowd it. *wink*

For the outside of the balcony, I wanted to create something that looked like it was starting to loose it's "stucco" coating, revealing what used to be a brick siding. Although it was already white, I further whitened it by painting white acrylic paint on it. I then made some homemade paste and "spackled" it onto the siding, AFTER I had used a stencil to put on the brick part of the balcony. I did the same thing on the inside.

And then I thought I'd go to my fave craft store, and buy some "garden fairy" elements, such as the bird on the bird bath, the bird bath, and the pot of greenery. The bench on the balcony is actually from a miniature doll house furniture accessory. I found some flowers on sale at the store, and used that with it's ivy to wrap around the balcony. I put in some moss in the garden areas and set in the bird bath with a stone sign on the ground that says "Welcome". The fence is from the craft section of the store.

The flooring of the balcony has scrapbook paper on it and the steps that look like wood planks so I used that to make it look like more realistic.

I hope you enjoyed my little process! Thank you for stopping by! Be sure to join in on the fun!

Hello, ladies and gents! All you crafty people! It's time once again for another week of Color Challenges over at The Outlawz! For the month of July, our sponsor is the amazing

And with that, comes our new inspiration for the week....A Tic Tac Toe Board! Here it is:

For my project I chose the middle horizontal row. The Beach Chair, the Flip Flops, and the Color with texture on my project.
I am not a "beachy" person, but I was able to get it done, and it was what I wanted. How about that?? I used black shimmer paper from Paper Temptress. It's so gorgeous in person! I used my Silhouette to cut out all my images and sentiment, plus texture paste, glitter, and microbeads for the part of the Color with Texture.

I hope that you will join us for the challenge this week! Lots of great inspiration by the Design Team! And thank you so much for stopping by!

I had the joy of using an image from Bugaboo Stamps called Christmas Girl Presents. I love this image! She's all ready for Christmas! (I usually am last minute gift finding!!) Here she is:
To me, Christmas means....besides the most important meaning of the birth of Jesus Christ...lots of sparkle and glimmer! And believe me, she's got it! I used my color markers on her, plus a lot of stickles! The Merry Christmas sentiment is done with Deco Foil (a new found "love" of mine!).

Baby Shower Cards!

Hello, crafters! Today I want to share with you a card I made. This is for a baby shower my daughter will be attending, and she wanted me to make her a card. So I thought, I'd give it a go and do something a little different for me. Here it is:
I have to tell you, this card was so fun to make.

I cut her out with my Silhouette Portrait, to include paper ruffles. But as I was putting the card together, I thought that being girly, she need lace on that little bottom. ;) So I cut out the lace and then assembled all the pieces together.

I hope you enjoyed this card! And thanks for stopping by! If you would, please subscribe to my blog! I would totally love that!

The Outlawz Color Challenge - July 3rd, 2018

Hello, fellow crafters! It's me, Scrapbookingmamaw, and it's time once again for our Weekly Color Challenge over at The Outlawz! And for this month, we have the amazing sponsor, Mari Digis Stamps!

So for this challenge, we have a great July 4th Inspirational Photo with a Twist: ADD A BOW! Here it is:
What a fun board! So here is what I did for this week's challenge:
What a cute digital she is! She's called I Love Embroidering. So with the red, white, and blue colors, I decided to color her clothing in those colors, and make her hair a pretty redhead. And of course, top it off with a blue bow, right?? After I colored her in with my Prismacolors, I put her on top of an oval red glitter paper, then on top of a white background with a red base. I added a red gingham bow (from an awesome friend of mine!), and a few embellishments.

With her sewing, and it being a celebration of Independence Day, she really reminded me of Betsy Ross making the flag.

I hope that you will find this card inspirational enough that you will want to join in on our challenges! And have a lot of fun with it, too! Thanks for stopping by!
