Crafty Gals Challenge - #268 Fill in the blank: Dad's ____________

Hello and Welcome back to my blog! If you view my blog, you might notice that I'm missing some challenges. The truth is, I've been going through some sickness and missing my husband. Our sweet Challenge Coordinator for the Crafty Gals Corner, gave me time off so I could heal physically and emotionally. She a wonderful team leader. So, let's get on with the challenge, shall we?

The theme for this challenge is:

~ Fill in the blank - Dad's _____ ~
(day, cars, clothes, hobbies, sports, tools, birthday,  etc.)

Our sponsors for this challenge are:
(listed in alphabetical order)

Prize ~ 2 Digital Images

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

For this challenge, I chose a cute little bee/flower digital. At the time, I was thinking...it's so cute. Surely I can figure out what to make with this image (with a few doubts in the back of my mind). But! I figured it out! And here is what I made:

So, for my card, I decided to make the buzzing theme to become dad’s birthday! I love how the bees turned out and I’m so excited that they came out so well. In the thistle, I had to look up what they look like and I came as close to it as I could. All in all this is a cute image and there’s a lot of things one can do with this image.

This cute little image came from SheepSki Designs (the specific image link is under the picture). I hope that you will join us in this fun challenge! See you there!

So for my design project, I made this card:

Mirtillamente Craft Shop

This card was so fun to color! And I had the perfect paper for the background! The colors of that paper inspired the colors for my Snow Globe. I even put a "snowflake" on the tip of his nose!

I used my Tri-Color Markers for this project. Although you can't see it, I put a layer of acetate on the globe section to represent glass. I then layered it on top of the blue and silver paper, placed that onto the top of black, and then a color to match the teal color of the designer paper as the final layer.

This was a really cute image! It's so adorable! I hope that you will drop by and join us over at the Crafty Gals Corner!

Thank you for stopping by!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #223

Hello, fellow crafters! It is already time for another new challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner Challenge Blog! This month's theme is

 Hello Fall

Our amazing sponsors for this month are:

Prize ~ 2 Digital Images

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

SheepSki Designs
Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

For my card this month, I chose a cute image with some bees and a flower called Buzzing! I love this little image! Here is my card:

SheepSki Designs

I colored the image with my TriBlend Markers. I happened to have some "insect" paper so it was easy to find the perfect background for my card. After I colored and mounted the background paper, I placed my image on and added a sentiment. I figured...in my opinion, anyway...that the bees' wings needed to have some shine to them, so I used Diamonds Stickles glitter glue. I simply mounted everything together and it was done! Cards don't have to be complicated to be pretty, right?

I hope that you will join us for this month's challenge! And be sure to join us next month, too!

Outlawz Color Challenge - Nov 5th, 2019

Hello fellow crafters! We have started a new color challenge over at The Outlawz! We hope that you join us!
(Please come by each time to check out the challenge as we will have a different

November Sponsor
This fortnight's challenge is an
Inspirational Photo chosen by AJ / Art Jypsy
with Caffeinated Colours and Sweets Tones to choose from.

So I went with a piece I had started coloring with the Kit and Clowder Class, using the coffee image. It was perfect for this inspirational piece! I used my Prismacolors to color it. Here it is:

Once I finally finished this piece, I just added some mounting pieces to the card and a sentiment. And she was done! I really love how it turned out, too! I hope that you can join us for this challenge!

SheepSki Designs
Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

As you can see, we have some amazing sponsors! For my card, I chose the Birthday Bumblebee digital image. Here is my card:

He was so fun to color! I went with the orange and yellow on the whole card, because of the yellow and black on the bee. My embossing is the sentiment. I used several layers, along with black because I figured that would help set off the rest of the colors. :)

I hope that you will join us! It's a lot of fun and always great prizes to give away! Thanks for stopping by!

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

(Formerly Lacy Sunshine)
Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

So do I need to tell you how much I LOVED coloring the image I used - Rory's April Showers May Flowers from COLOR OF LOVE? She is a beautiful image! Here she is:
I decided I'd go with my Spectrum Noir markers on her. For some reason I had a lot of trouble trying to capture her photo, but she really does look better in person. Maybe it's all that rain splashing into my camera lens! Haha! Anyway, I did several of layers to mount her onto paper from The Paper Temptress.

I hope that you will join us for this fortnight's challenge! And thank you so much for stopping by!

The Outlawz Color Challenge - March 26th, 2019

Hello, crafters! Welcome back to my blog! Today I am sharing with you another challenge that has started over at The Outlawz....Color Challenge!   The challenge actually began last Tuesday, March 26th, but with several family members in the hospital/rehab, and my hubby fighting severe neuropathy, it's been a battle and I'm behind! But here it is today:

MARCH 2019 SPONSOR IS

This week AJ has chosen this fortnights challenge
5 Colours + a Twist of Something Sweet
What a "sweet" board this is! I love all the colors! Now here is my project, making a tag using a digital from SheepSki Designs (linked above). This image is from the digital Coffee & Cake.  I used the cupcake part of the image.

Outlawz Color Challenge - March 12th, 2019

Hello once again from The Outlawz Color Challenge! I am delighted that you stopped by! For this month, we have the amazing and wonderful sponsor SheepSki Designs!  I love the image that I have chosen for this fortnight, and I hope that you do too! But first, here is the photo inspiration (picked by me!):
I just LOVE this picture! It's so girly! So I thought the image I picked for the challenge, was PERFECT! Here is my card called Scrappy Sandal:
Yes, I made the image extra large, just so you could see all the glittery goodness going on in that shoe! I used Diamond Glass Glitter. And see that bow? PERFECT....cause it's got sequins like the photo inspiration has in the shoes.

I put Glossy Accents all over the shoe, a little at a time so the glue wouldn't dry, and then sprinkled the glass glitter as I went. I found a pretty little ribbon that I thought went well with the other papers and shoe, then added a sentiment and a flower.

I hope you will join us! And thank you for stopping by!

We have some very generous sponsors for this challenge.
They are:

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

The Cutting Cafe
Prize ~ 2 Sets

So for my project, I used an image from SheepSki Designs called Christmas Fairy . I love this image! She has such a wonderment and is dying to touch the ornament! Here she is:
I decided to use non-typical colors this time. I thought the pink and blue would make a nice contrast.

I hope that you will join us for this week's challenge! Thanks for stopping by!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #171 - Tropical Colors!

Hello, ladies and hopefully, some gents too! We are starting our first challenge for the month of August with some amazing sponsors! This time, the theme is: TROPICAL COLORS! Here are our sponsors:

Our sponsors this week are:

Prize: 3 Digital Images

Prize: 2 Digital Images

Prize ~ 5 Digital images

Wow! It was so hard to pick one image to do for this challenge, as all 3 sponsors are fantastic! But in the end, I have chosen to do Beach Baby by Creative Bug.  What a cute title for a cute little image. So here is my card:
There it is, in all it's Tropical colors glory! Lol! I'd say there are plenty of them on there, wouldn't you? I added some diamond glass glitter on the sand to make it more "sandy" looking, but the picture here doesn't show that. However, the shadowing on the sand from the artist, made it look sandy. So...it was all good! I did use Bone China Ink Oxide for the cloudy background.

I hope that you will  join us for this challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner Challenge Blog! See you there!

Outlawz Color Challenge March 27, 2018

Hello, fellow crafters! Today a new COLOR CHALLENGE has begun over at THE OUTLAWZ! And this month we have the amazing SheepSki Designs as our Sponsor! The winner will receive 3 digital images of choice! Now let's look at the Photo Inspiration chosen by fellow DT Member, Kimberly:
Member uses Blue and Chooses 2 Other Colors
Twist: Tell us what your twist is!

So there you have the inspiration! The colors are gorgeous! Now let me show you what I did:
Now, you might say...where in the world did she come up with those colors out of that picture?? I'll tell you: If you look closely at the picture, there are some shades of pink in there, plus some greens, and also some shadows (which is why I chose the dark background). The bow was made a dark pink...not quite as dark as it shows in the picture.

My Twist? To use TH Ink Oxides as a "watercolor" base for her blouse. In this case, I used Bone China as the color. I then used some Prismacolors that closely matched the Bone China to do some more shading.

There you have it! I want to say a HUGE thank you for stopping by! I really appreciate it! And while you're at it, stop by at The Outlawz, take a look around, and join a challenge or two...or more!

The Outlawz Color Challenge March 20, 2018

Hello, crafters! I'm a little late posting today. It's been one of those days with so many things to do and so little time. But...here I am with a new card for The Outlawz Color Challenge this week! Our amazing sponsor for the month of March is
Our winner will get 3 digis of choice from the store!
How awesome is that! And now for the photo inspiration this week:
Make project using 1 shade
Now let me share with you my card for this week. I had a hard time choosing which image I wanted to use, as there are so many gorgeous ones! And I knew I could pick the frog...he's green right? But I wanted to go for something "out of the box", so I chose Lilly.  Here is my card:

See what I mean? Lol! Outside of the box! So as you can see, there is a lot of green in there...a lot of shades! At first, I felt a little intimidated. But then I thought...hey, it's digital! I can re-print it if I need to! So I carried on! And I'm happy with the outcome!

I hope that you will join us for this week's challenge! Lots of fun over there!

Thank you for stopping by!

The Outlawz Color Challenge March 13th, 2018

Hello, Crafters! There's a new Color Challenge going on over at The Outlawz! And today I want to share with you my project! Our amazing sponsor for the month of March is:

Our winner will get 3 digis of choice from the store!
Here is the Photo Inspiration chosen by fellow DT Member, Cara:
Love this Tic Tac Toe board! You can go horizontal, vertical, up, or down, plus add the stripes, shamrocks, or texture. Now here is my card:
I used the image: Shopping in Yorkshire

I love this image! And she's not going to let a little rain stop her from what she loves to do....SHOP! I see another meaning in the sentiment and image too. Whatever in life is happening to you now, keep going. Don't give up! Look Up instead!

My texture for this card is the embossed papers. I also colored the layer directly under the image with Distress Oxides: Bone China and Antique Linen. Oxides is my fave right now!

I hope that you enjoy checking this out. And I do hope that you will join us in this week's challenge! Thanks for stopping by!
