Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #211 - Fall Colors

Hello, all you crafty people! Today we begin a new challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner This time our theme is: Fall Colours
Our amazing sponsor for this challenge is:

Digi Doodle Studios
Prize ~ 3 Digi Stamps

I don't know about you, but I think the Digi Doodle Stamps are just the cutest little images! For my card this week, I used the Cinnamon Chef cutie! Since the theme is Fall Colors, I went with the oranges, browns, etc. Here she is:
I don't know why, but I always seem to have trouble with the Fall colors, getting them the right shades, etc. But this time around, I think I got the colors I wanted. It really is a basic card: I colored her with Spectrum Noir color markers, mounted her on top of a  solid green layer of metallic paper from the Paper Temptress, added some printed paper, a sentiment and some flowers, and she was done! Oh, and an orange ribbon!

We hope that you will join us for this month's challenge! You just might be a winner! And be sure to join in on the Digi Doodles Facebook Challenge too!

Thank you for stopping by!

Instead of making a typical card for Father's Day, I decided to do a bit of wall art for my honey. I made a mixed media background, and placed my car right into the center. Here is my project:

I think he deserves a little something different now and then. He's always been such a big support to my art habit!

I absolutely love my image! Here is my card for this challenge, Birdie from LeAnn's World 101 (link above).

This card is a pretty simply made card, and in order to add a heart, I decided to use some heart lace I had in my stash for some time. I love it, but just didn't really know where to use it. But I felt it was perfect for this challenge! I used my Prismacolors to color the image, and some papers I had in my stash.

I hope that you will join in on the challenge! Great sponsors and great prizes to be given!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge - Thankful

Hello, crafters! Today begins a new challenge for us over at Crafty Gals Corner Challenge Blog!  This week the challenge is: Thankful

Our sponsors this week are:

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

OddBall Art
Prize ~ $10 Gift Certificate

Prize ~ $10 Gift Certificate

Bugaboo Stamps

Prize ~ $12 Gift Certificate

Wow! What an array of sponsors! Love it! So much to choose from! But for me, I chose these amazing butterflies from Morgan's Art World - Garden 16.
Here is my card:

As you can see, I tried to match up the colors of the papers (from Paper Temptress) with as close to the colors of the butterflies as possible. And it seemed to work great! Yay! The blue paper is a textured paper....very fun to work with too! And those butterflies...wow! They were gorgeous and because of the shadowing on the images, it makes it so much easier to color.

I hope that this has inspired you to join us for this challenge! We love seeing your cards and projects!

The Outlawz Color Challenge Week of October 23rd!

Hello, crafters! Well, after being absent for what seems to have been an eternity....I am back creating with The Outlawz Color Challenges!  There has been a lot going on in my life, and still happening, but it is time to get going again! So for my first project, I chose this cute little mermaid! But first, here is our amazing sponsor for the month of October:

Now here is our Color Challenge for this week: Shades of Blue

What a beautiful array of blues! Now on to my mermaid card:

She's such a cutie! The rhinestones below are really a brighter blue than what they show up as here, more like the ones above her head (I used those as her bubbles).

I hope that you will join us for this week's challenge! We love seeing all the wonderful talent out there! And thanks for stopping by!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #175 - Anything Fall Goes!

Wow! It's already time for another challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner! This one is #175 and the theme is: Anything Fall Goes.
Our sponsors for this week are:

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

Prize ~ 1 Image Pack

Prize ~ 1 digital image

For this challenge, I used an image from Pretty Graphic Design. This was an absolute joy to make! These Fall Animals are just adorable! So so cute!! Here it is:

I decided to go ahead and make a little Fall Wall Hanging for my project. I first used my Silhouette to print and cut out all the images I needed: The tree, the owl, the squirrel, and the pumpkins. I made the pumpkins in 3 sizes. (Also, the word "Fall" was part of my Silhouette software.)

Before putting anything together, I cut out a white cardstock and colored in the background with my Tim Holtz Ink Oxides (Bone China and Walnut Stain). I layered all my pieces on top, starting with my tree and adding the owl in the tree. The layered the 3 pumpkins on the bottom of the tree with the squirrel next to them. I used a glitter cardstock as my base for the wall hanging and added glitter glue on the scarves of the owl and the squirrel.

I love how it came out! And this was a pretty simple project to do, as all the images were pre-colored! How's that for something quick when you need something done fast??!!

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope that this inspired you and that you will join us for the challenge!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenges #174 - 3+ Layers!

Hello, crafters! And welcome to my blog and another challenge with Crafty Gals Corner Challenges! What an exciting challenge this is! I love adding layers....the challenge is: 3+ Layers. Our amazing sponsors for this week are:

Digital Delights by Louby Loo
Prize: $5 Gift Certificate

Prize: 2 Digital Images

Bugaboo Stamps
Prize: $12 Gift Certificate

Now on to my project for this challenge! I love Conie Fong images! Always have! And this one is no exception: Alanna.
I had such fun with this one! And I knew exactly what colors I wanted to make her! I also wanted to make her into a Christmas Tag. One of this first things I did was to print out 3 images. I cut out one using my Silhouette, and the 2nd one I fussy-cut only the head (that almost sounded gruesome!). The 3rd image, I only fussy-cut the flowers. I colored the same colors on all pieces. I then used 3D to layer the head onto the head of the full image. I loved the effect this gives with the shadowing!

Then I cut out my tag, layered it with Christmas paper from my stash, then layered again with a smaller piece on top of that (centering it), and then another strip of paper to make my 3rd layer (3+ layers). I added her on top of the 3rd layer, added some glitter glue on her flowers and bodice, and then added rows of gold rhinestones on the top and bottom of the tag.

For the tie at the top, I just used some really thin gold cord and slid some tiny "jingle bells" onto it.

Wow! What fun she was to do!

I hope that you will join us in this challenge! And I always appreciate your stopping by! Thank you!
