Crafty Gals Corner Challenges #218 - Easter/Spring

Hello, everyone! And welcome to another new challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner Challenge Blog! For this month, our theme is..................

Easter / Spring

And our amazing sponsors for this challenge are:
(in alphabetical order)

Prize ~ $10 Gift Certificate

Prize: 3 Digital Stamps

So for this challenge, my sister had given me some duplicate pieces that she was going to throw away. Instead, she decided that I could probably make something with the pieces and gave them to me. Each piece was about 4"x6" and looked like they had windows (2 windows), so I treated them as such and made a little "Garden Window Card".

I used my Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend markers to do all the coloring of my digital. I then stenciled "brick" onto one of the pieces to mimic the "outside wall" of the card. Then, I placed acetate on the back of the brick wall, added "wall paper" (Eat Play Love Paper Packet and then glued the whole piece onto the last "window" section to give it stability.

Once that was done, I was able to put my images on the top so it'd look like there was perhaps a flower garden outside next to the windows with a beautiful butterfly!

Here is my finished project:

Well, there you have it! I hope that you enjoy my little window card! And I really hope that you will join us in this month's challenge! Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!

Prize ~ 2 Digital Images

Prize ~ $10 Gift Certificate

I absolutely love the image I used! Mine is Teapot from Doctor DigiI did a fairly clean and simple card. I colored in the image after I had stamped a sentiment in the middle of the teapot. Then I mounted it on 2 sheets of cardstock, gave it a little gold trimming and a gold embellishment, added some wheat and acorn stamps, and it was done! It didn't take long at all, and I absolutely LOVE it! Here it is:

So there you have it! I hope that this will inspire you to create your own card for the challenge! And remember, it doesn't have to be full of embellishments to make it look good!

Thank you for stopping by! Please have a wonderful day and stay safe!

Many Blessings,

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge - Thankful

Hello, crafters! Today begins a new challenge for us over at Crafty Gals Corner Challenge Blog!  This week the challenge is: Thankful

Our sponsors this week are:

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

OddBall Art
Prize ~ $10 Gift Certificate

Prize ~ $10 Gift Certificate

Bugaboo Stamps

Prize ~ $12 Gift Certificate

Wow! What an array of sponsors! Love it! So much to choose from! But for me, I chose these amazing butterflies from Morgan's Art World - Garden 16.
Here is my card:

As you can see, I tried to match up the colors of the papers (from Paper Temptress) with as close to the colors of the butterflies as possible. And it seemed to work great! Yay! The blue paper is a textured paper....very fun to work with too! And those butterflies...wow! They were gorgeous and because of the shadowing on the images, it makes it so much easier to color.

I hope that this has inspired you to join us for this challenge! We love seeing your cards and projects!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #166-Anything Goes

Hello, fellow crafters! Crafty Gals Corner begins a new challenge today! This week the challenge is: Anything Goes

Our sponsors this week are:

Prize ~ $13 Gift Certificate

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

Prize ~ $10 Gift Certificate

So for this week, I went with the cutest little image with a lovely pre-colored background image. She is Wistful Emma from Fred She Said Digital Designs. What I love about this image, is that you get several options to work with her. But I'll let you go to the link and check that out, just so you can see for yourself! (*wink!*) Here is my card:

Since I'm still recovering from a battle of bronchitis, I made my card pretty simple. And with that awesome background, it made it all the easier to make the card.

I hope that you will join us for this challenge! Lots of goodies to be given away for this challenge! And thank you for stopping by!
