Take a look at what I created:

My card is called
Little Black-eyed Susan Flower Cup
from Colour of Love. Now, before I go on, I know I didn't color the flowers' center in black, nor her eyes black, but I wanted to "do it my way", as Frank Sinatra said. (for those of you who know who he is, lol!)

I used a design paper background, and then printed my digital onto cardstock. It actually took me 3 times to get what I wanted. I just wasn't happy with the other two. When I finally got her the way I wanted, I placed her on the design paper. I really didn't do a lot, but the background paper really set it off!

I hope you will join us for this month's challenge! It's always so hard to pick just 3 images, when they all are so special! But, you never know...you might be one of the 3! Good luck!

Crafty Gals Challenge #212 - Halloween Colors

Hello everyone! And welcome to our October Challenge #212 over at Crafty Gals Corner Challenge Blog! This month, we are celebrating HALLOWEEN COLORS! While I don't celebrate Halloween, I do love the colors!

Here are our amazing sponsors for this month:

Prize ~ $10 Gift Certificate

Prize ~ 2 Digital Images

Prize ~ 3 Single Digital Images

For this challenge, I am using  Cornucopia from Ike’s Art. I love this image! It's a good way to use all of those fall colors! So of course, I started out by printing out the image, and deciding what colors I wanted to use and if I wanted markers or pencils. I decided to go along with the markers from Spectrum Noir for this, as there is a lot to the image.

With my leaves, I wanted them to look like they were turning fall colors, so I went ahead and put various colors down first, then a very light green, and then a brown tone on top of that. To get the depths of the shadowing on the fruit, I used a light brown for added shading. And with the cornucopia, I added some gray to it. Of course, I used darker colors for the first layers first, then the brown and gray for the depth of shadows.

I mounted my image on some red and black onto a white cardstock base, and then added my sentiment. Done!

I hope that this card will inspire you to join us in this month's challenge! And thank you so much for stopping in!

Summer Time Card!

Hello, fellow crafters! Today begins a new monthly challenge over at the Crafty Gals Corner Challenge Blog! I hope that you will be inspired enough to join us! The theme for this challenge is called Summer Time Fun!  How fun is that??

Our sponsors for this challenge are:
(in alphabetical order)

Prize ~ 2 Digital Images

Stamper's Delights
Prize ~ 3 Single Digital Images

Twinkle Lane Designs
Prize: Two Digital Images
& Two Coordinating Digital Paper Sets

So what I made was a slimeline card, which seem to be very popular these days! My card is from Stamper's Delight, titled Summer Time Fun! She's a very cute image, so I thought I'd color her in the pink and green hues. I thought about "going blonde" with her hair, but I changed my mind and decided a brunette color would like better on my card.

I printed this paper on my Silhouette Cameo 4. And instead of cutting her out separately, I just placed her directly on the card front and then colored her. Here is my card:

So I've got 2 monitors that I use....the laptop one, and then the TV one which is hooked up to the laptop. Both monitors show a different color of the greens, pink, and purple. I hope it looks better on your monitor! Lol.

I did use glitter glue on her, because she seemed pretty much of a diva to me. ;)

I hope that you will be inspired to join us! Thank you for stopping by!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenges - #193- You're the Man

Hello, everyone! And welcome to this fortnight of challenges....#193 in fact! The theme for this challenge is:
You're the Man
(In honor of Father's Day, make a masculine card)

Our sponsors for this challenge are:

Prize ~ 2 Digital Images

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

Prize ~ $5 Gift Certificate

So here we are, #193 challenge...getting closer and closer to #200!! Wow! I can hardly believe it! So for this challenge, we're making it masculine. I got the image Vintage Ride from LeAnn's World 101. And I really had fun with it!

Instead of making a typical card for Father's Day, I decided to do a bit of wall art for my honey. I made a mixed media background, and placed my car right into the center. Here is my project:

I think he deserves a little something different now and then. He's always been such a big support to my art habit!

I hope that this will inspire you to join in on this challenge! Let's see what you create!

Thank you for stopping by!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenges - Love is in the Air (Add a Heart)

Hello, crafters! A new challenge has begun over at Crafty Gals Corner Challenges! This fortnight the challenge is: Love is in the Air (Add a Heart)

Our awesome sponsors for this challenge are:

Sparkle N Sprinkle

Prize ~ $15 Gift Certificate

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

I absolutely love my image! Here is my card for this challenge, Birdie from LeAnn's World 101 (link above).

This card is a pretty simply made card, and in order to add a heart, I decided to use some heart lace I had in my stash for some time. I love it, but just didn't really know where to use it. But I felt it was perfect for this challenge! I used my Prismacolors to color the image, and some papers I had in my stash.

I hope that you will join in on the challenge! Great sponsors and great prizes to be given!

Thank you for stopping by!
