Crash Your Stash - The Outlawz

There's a new Crash your Stash Challenge over at The Outlawz!  The purpose of this challenge is for you to use items you already have stashed away somewhere waiting to be appreciated and loved again!
We are thrilled to be sponsored by We are 3 Digital Shop so make sure you check out their shops for more awesomeness!

Our prize this month is this gorgeous set of digital papers called Once upon a Time and can be found in the shop.
The challenge for this month is to use VELLUM
Vellum has many uses and can turn an ordinary card or design into the extraordinary. Plus its suitable for other crafting projects as well. It’s the rare crafter who does not have a sheet (or fifty) of vellum stashedwith their other specialty papers (probably next to the mulberry paper we used on a previous challenge!)
Now I'd like to show you what I created using Vellum:

I hope that you will join us! Thank you for stopping by!

Outlawz Color Challenge - August 13th

Welcome to another Color Challenge over at The Outlawz! I hope that you will join us, as there are a lot of exciting challenges for you to join! This month we have the amazing sponsorship of:
This week, it's fellow DT member Jacqui's turn to create the challenge. She chose  the color beige from this fabulous boat picture. All you have to do is choose two other colours from the picture to go with it and then add a twist of your own choice.
Here is the photo inspiration. Remember, you must use beige plus two other colors from the picture and then tell us what your twist is.

Now take a look at my card, which I hope will inspire you:
Isn't that an adorable little picture?? My image is Kitten with Chicks.  I love this little image! I had so much fun coloring it! I of course used the beige, but I also used the orange and blue from the photo inspiration. For my Twist, I made an embossed sentiment.

Head on over to The Outlawz! We want to see what you come up with!

The Outlawz Color Challenge - July 30th

Welcome to the Color Challenge at The Outlawz! This week we are having a Monochromatic Challenge, using shades of Yellow! Our  challenge board is:
Beautiful Colors! Just pick at least 3 to join in on the fun!

Our Sponsor for the month of July is the amazing......
A Day for Daisies

Now that I have the "preliminaries" out of the way, let me share with you what I made.
Instead of making a card, I decided to go along with making a tag. I had made a card, but I was so unhappy with that card. The more I tried to enhance it, the worse it got! Ugh! So I gave up on it and decided to wait to work on another project. So today I got it done, and there you have what I did!
I layered different sheets of cardstock...the bottom layer (base layer) was yellow, then I tore designer cardstocks and placed in a couple of strategic places. Then I added a very light creamy yellow embroidery lace with yellow trim in between the lace. The last things I added was the yellow gold hanging beads to the bottom and a seam binding to the top as a hanger. I also had a flower that I took apart and rearranged and added a gold frame.

I hope that you enjoy this and that it inspired you to create and join us for this challenge! Thank you for stopping by!

Outlawz Color Challenge - June 4th, 2019

Hello crafters! Today The Outlawz began a new fortnight Color Challenge! And I must admit...I LOVE the challenge! (insert *wink wink* here.....cause I chose the challenge!! hahaha.) I really had a great time with it! But before we go on, here is our amazing sponsor for the month of June:

Here is the Photo Inspiration:
I've enlarged the photo so you could see the colors better. Isn't she beautiful?? And I love the colors! Now here is my card:
I did this card a little differently than I normally have done in the past. I wanted to use as many of the colors as possible in the inspiration, so I took some Deco Foil and heated it onto my card foundation, then I added a strip of glitter Washi tape in the middle, adding some embellishments on the card with a sentiment. The ballerina is from Imagine That; She was a silhouette that I also foiled and added a "tutu" on her with an embellishment for her "belt". I love the way she turned out!

I hope that you will join us for this challenge! Most of all, have fun with it!! Thanks for stopping by!

The Outlawz Color Challenge - March 26th, 2019

Hello, crafters! Welcome back to my blog! Today I am sharing with you another challenge that has started over at The Outlawz....Color Challenge!   The challenge actually began last Tuesday, March 26th, but with several family members in the hospital/rehab, and my hubby fighting severe neuropathy, it's been a battle and I'm behind! But here it is today:

MARCH 2019 SPONSOR IS
Sheepski.jpg (280Ãâ€â€280)

This week AJ has chosen this fortnights challenge
5 Colours + a Twist of Something Sweet
What a "sweet" board this is! I love all the colors! Now here is my project, making a tag using a digital from SheepSki Designs (linked above). This image is from the digital Coffee & Cake.  I used the cupcake part of the image.

And there you have it! I hope that you will join us for this challenge! Be sure to check out all the other cards over at the Outlawz! Thank you for stopping by!

Outlawz Color Challenge - March 12th, 2019

Hello once again from The Outlawz Color Challenge! I am delighted that you stopped by! For this month, we have the amazing and wonderful sponsor SheepSki Designs!  I love the image that I have chosen for this fortnight, and I hope that you do too! But first, here is the photo inspiration (picked by me!):
I just LOVE this picture! It's so girly! So I thought the image I picked for the challenge, was PERFECT! Here is my card called Scrappy Sandal:
Yes, I made the image extra large, just so you could see all the glittery goodness going on in that shoe! I used Diamond Glass Glitter. And see that bow? PERFECT....cause it's got sequins like the photo inspiration has in the shoes.

I put Glossy Accents all over the shoe, a little at a time so the glue wouldn't dry, and then sprinkled the glass glitter as I went. I found a pretty little ribbon that I thought went well with the other papers and shoe, then added a sentiment and a flower.

I hope you will join us! And thank you for stopping by!

The Outlawz Color Challenge - February 12, 2019

Hi, fellow crafters! I'm so glad you dropped in! Today begins a new challenge over at The Outlawz Color Challenge! And for this challenge, we have the amazing Imagine That Digistamp as our sponsor! (And they currently have a sale going on!)

Imagine That Digistamp

Prize: $12 gift certificate

Here is our board picked by fellow team member, Ursula:

As you can see, the board has one main color for you to use, so you can pick at least 2 other colors for your project. AND....the twist is make your own background! Here is what I did:
The image is called January Carnation by Imagine That Digistamp. To make my own background, I printed off on my laser printer a piece of white cardstock with black and white colors. I then took some Gina K Designs Sparkling Silver foil and placed it on top of the black and white, ran it through my laminator, and Ouila! I had a new background full of colors! I then layered everything together, coloring my image with Prismacolors.

I hope that you will join us for this challenge! And thank you for stopping by!

Outlawz Color Challenge - July 24th - Tic Tac Toe!

Hello, ladies and gents! All you crafty people! It's time once again for another week of Color Challenges over at The Outlawz! For the month of July, our sponsor is the amazing

And with that, comes our new inspiration for the week....A Tic Tac Toe Board! Here it is:

For my project I chose the middle horizontal row. The Beach Chair, the Flip Flops, and the Color with texture on my project.
I am not a "beachy" person, but I was able to get it done, and it was what I wanted. How about that?? I used black shimmer paper from Paper Temptress. It's so gorgeous in person! I used my Silhouette to cut out all my images and sentiment, plus texture paste, glitter, and microbeads for the part of the Color with Texture.

I hope that you will join us for the challenge this week! Lots of great inspiration by the Design Team! And thank you so much for stopping by!

For this week, we have a Photo Inspiration from fellow DT member, Jacqui, with the challenge to use all 5 colors and Add a Butterfly! Here is the inspiration:

Some challenging colors, but oh so natural! Now here is my card, using an image from

I have started a coloring class by Kit and Clowder, and this image was the one given for this specific class. If you need more learning techniques, this is the place to go! This image had a lot of detail into her, but she was so much fun to color!

The Outlawz Color Challenge - July 3rd, 2018

Hello, fellow crafters! It's me, Scrapbookingmamaw, and it's time once again for our Weekly Color Challenge over at The Outlawz! And for this month, we have the amazing sponsor, Mari Digis Stamps!

So for this challenge, we have a great July 4th Inspirational Photo with a Twist: ADD A BOW! Here it is:
What a fun board! So here is what I did for this week's challenge:
What a cute digital she is! She's called I Love Embroidering. So with the red, white, and blue colors, I decided to color her clothing in those colors, and make her hair a pretty redhead. And of course, top it off with a blue bow, right?? After I colored her in with my Prismacolors, I put her on top of an oval red glitter paper, then on top of a white background with a red base. I added a red gingham bow (from an awesome friend of mine!), and a few embellishments.

With her sewing, and it being a celebration of Independence Day, she really reminded me of Betsy Ross making the flag.

I hope that you will find this card inspirational enough that you will want to join in on our challenges! And have a lot of fun with it, too! Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings, Jeanie Ellis - Scrapbookingmamaw

Outlawz Color Challenge April 24, 2018!

Hello, fellow crafters! It's time once again for another week of challenges here at The Outlawz!  And today I want to share with you my card for the Color Challenge! This month our sponsor is
Our winner will get a $10GC!
What a great prize, don't you think? Now here is our photo inspiration for this week picked by me: A Tic-Tac-Toe Board!
On to my card! I decided to go from Top Left to Bottom Right:
I love working with lace, ribbons, pearls....my favorite type of embellishments! And this one fit the bill for me. Do you see the 4 corners there, all decorated? I was given a bunch of stickers that are just so awesome! They sure came in handy for this card! And the image was a freebie given by Sweet Escapes Digitals when they sponsored a coloring class given by Kit and Clowder.

I hope that you will join us this week! And thanks for stopping by!

The Outlawz Color Challenge April 3, 2018

Hello, everyone! Today begins a new challenge over at The Outlawz Color Challenge!  And for the month of  April we have the amazing sponsor

Our winner will get a $10GC!
Now let's take a look at our Inspiration Photo chosen by fellow teammie Ursula!
I absolutely love the colors in this photo! And then the added twist....Add Metal! Wow! What a great combination! Now let me share with you my project. I decided I'd make a tag out of my digital:
I love this floral image. It's such a pretty image to work with. I cut out the tag foundation with a light chipboard piece, added paper and a decor on top of that. I colored my image with my Prismacolors. Of course, it needed some lace and trim, right?? My metal pieces are the butterfly and the metal leaves underneath the rose. Oh, FYI, I used the Gold metallic Prismacolor pencil for the metal bucket too.

I hope that you will join us for the challenge this week! Thanks for stopping by!
