Papercraft Business Challenge #12!

Here we are, Challenge #12 already for Papercraft Business Challenges! And what a great turnout we had! Are you ready for November's?? Well, here it is! Our November challenge theme is: Anything Goes
(Optional: Christmas Animal – For an extra entry to WIN the prize).
The winning prize: Lawn Fawn – Alpaca Stamps
LFPrize
Now, you might think that a Christmas Animal is probably a reindeer, or maybe a penguin or even a polar bear. But not so with my card! I have one called Christmas Kitty by Mary Smith of Createful Heart Designs. Here it is:
As you can see, I've used a lot of glitter on this card, including the stickles and the paper! But Christmas is glittery too, isn't it?? I used markers to color everything in (no, no Copics or Spectrum Noir...would love some, but...!).
I love the glow of the fire surrounding the fireplace! I hope that this card has inspired you to join in on the fun!

JessicaLynnOriginal - Summer Owl

Hello, crafty peeps! I have another card to share with you for today. JessicaLynnOriginal has a cute little Summer Owl that's brand new in the shop! I want to share my card with you! But first, here's the owl:

Here is also a link to the Facebook group to post it to: JessicaLynnOriginal: create & inspire.

Now, on to my card! I decided that I wanted to give this little owl a sand bucket, especially since he's standing in the sand. So I used my Silhouette and cut out the bucket and pieces to it. I colored him with my Prismacolors. I used glass glitter and colored it to make it look more like the color of sand (I forgot I didn't have the right color of cardstock...duh!). Then I added a sentiment. Here it is:
Let's see what you create with this little guy! He's awfully cute! And thank you for stopping by!

JessicaLynnOriginal New Stamp Reveal Card #2!

Hello, everyone! JessicaLynnOriginal is launching another stamp set! This one is the Italian Greyhound Stamp Set, which will launch May 6th. You can pre-order this set before Saturday, May 6th! Here is the set:

I'm excited to be a part of this team! So doing these cards is a real pleasure for me! Look at all the different stamps to this set! Awesome! Now let me share with you the 2nd of my 3 cards. And be sure to come back to check out the other 3rd card that I will be sharing!

I decided to use the headshot of the Greyhound for this card, put him on a heart cutout, and then use the sentiment "I love my Greyhound". The heart made perfect sense for the sentiment! I colored him first with my markers and then attached him to the card using 3d foam adhesives. I used black and red ribbon around the top and left side, placed a ribbon with 3 roses on the intersecting mark of the ribbon, added pearls to the bottom left of the card, and lastly added a small butterfly. Again, Jessica has added a little paw print to this set, and I LOVE the paw print! So cute!

I hope you enjoyed this card! Be sure to check out the other Design Team Members!

The Outlawz Color Challenge May 2nd

Woot! Woot! Today is a new Color Challenge week over at The Outlawz! Our awesome sponsor for May is Mari Digis!
There are a lot of awesomely cute digitals over there! And now let me share with you what our Photo Inspiration for this week is:
For this inspiration, you must use the color Orange, with your option of 2 other colors and add your own twist (name what colors and twist you use). I think this is a pretty cool photo inspiration! The colors are so bright! Love them! For my project, I decided to make a little gift box.
Of course, my main color focus was using the orange. But I also added yellow and white with the twist of using a flower. The box was cut out using my Silhouette Portrait. With these patterns, you do have to use the folds the machine cuts, otherwise it's all guess work, and knowing me...I'd ruin the whole thing! Lol.

I then added an orange/yellow flower to the top of the box and white pearl trim around the side of the lid. Also, inside the bottom of the box is an extra piece cut for the bottom to give it more stability.
With the paper (Graphic45) being double-sided, it made it a lot easier to work with and not have to worry about whether or not I was folding the right direction and then having to re-fold. Been there!

I hope you will join us for this week's challenge! Beautiful colors, springy-looking, and lots of fun!

Thank you for stopping by!

JessicaLynnOriginal Italian Greyhound Card #1

Hello, everyone! JessicaLynnOriginal is launching another stamp set! This one is the Italian Greyhound Stamp Set, which will launch May 6th. Pre-ordering begins today! Here is the set:

I'm excited to be a part of this team! So doing these cards is a real pleasure for me! Look at all the different stamps to this set! Awesome! Now let me share with you the first of my 3 cards. And be sure to come back to check out the other 2 cards that I will be sharing!
I found this awesome tutorial via Pinterest on making animal cards. It's called a starburst card. It looked unique enough for me to want to try it out, so I did. And it was so much easier than it looks! Here is the link to the tutorial.  I hope you try it out!

For my card, I decided to use the stamp that has both the kitty and the greyhound. They totally look like buddies here! I used my markers to color them in. And then I added a sentiment from the stamp set up above the image.

I hope you enjoyed this card! Be sure to check out the other Design Team Members!

Be sure to check out Jessica's video about this cute stamp set HERE!
