Createful Heart Digis & Designs Card

Hello! I hope you're having a great and crafty day! I am on the Design Team of Createful Heart Digis & Designs, but when I saw one of Mary's (the owner) newest digi, I just had to have it! So I want to share it with you today. Here she is, Vintage Angel

This is one of my faves! I used all Prismacolors on her. The background paper is a Silhouette design I printed out and cut to the size I needed. The butterfly was also printed and cut from my Silhouette. I did add flowers from Secret Garden Crafts (Archana Joshi's shop). I hot glued a strand of pearls around the image to give her more of a focus.

And....just an FYI here....there's a challenge going on over at Createful Heart! The first one ever! So be sure to drop in and enter! There are prizes to be given away!

Thank you for stopping by!

The Outlawz Color Challenge July 4th

Hello, fellow crafters! Today I want to share with you this week's challenge inspiration! So before we get started, let's see what our Photo Inspiration is!
Today is July 4th, Independance Day for the USA, so this was a perfect inspiration for the week! And the DT have all come up with some awesome projects for further inspiration! Check it out at The Outlawz Color Challenge! This month our amazing sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps!

Prize: 4 Digis

Here is my card:
I love how this card came out! The digital is the Hope Anchors Your Soul Girl. I used my Silhouette to cut her and the sentiment out, which I love. I think the sentiment goes 2 ways...both personally and for our nation. The background paper was a pattern I got through the Silhouette also; just printed out and cut to size.

Be sure to stop by and check us out! And join in on the fun! There's a different challenge every day of the week: i.e., Sketch, Progressive, Color, etc. Each one runs a week long.

Thanks for stopping by!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenges #126 - Emboss It!

Hi, fellow crafters! I hope this new day is finding you fit and well! Today begins a new challenge week over at Crafty Gals Corner Challenges with the theme of:  Emboss It!" The sponsor(s) for this challenge are:

Prize: 2 Images DT Used

Star Stampz

Prize: 3 Digital Images

So for my card this week, I used the Warmest Wishes by Lia Stampz. I thought this was such a cute digital to work with! Here it is:

Front of Card

Closeup of Embossing

I realize that the embossing is hard to see, hence the closeup of the dry embossing on the purple mat of the card. I used a snowflake embossing folder for this part. I then wet embossed the snowflake.

Coloring these were pretty easy to do. I used my markers for these. To give it the extra "bling", I added stickles to the digi pieces. I then added the sentiment that comes with these digitals and some Tim Holtz tinsel around the edges of the card.

This was a fairly simple card to make, and yet it's so fun with all the colors to it! I hope you join us for this fun challenge! Thanks for stopping by!

The Outlawz Color Challenge May 2nd

Woot! Woot! Today is a new Color Challenge week over at The Outlawz! Our awesome sponsor for May is Mari Digis!
There are a lot of awesomely cute digitals over there! And now let me share with you what our Photo Inspiration for this week is:
For this inspiration, you must use the color Orange, with your option of 2 other colors and add your own twist (name what colors and twist you use). I think this is a pretty cool photo inspiration! The colors are so bright! Love them! For my project, I decided to make a little gift box.
Of course, my main color focus was using the orange. But I also added yellow and white with the twist of using a flower. The box was cut out using my Silhouette Portrait. With these patterns, you do have to use the folds the machine cuts, otherwise it's all guess work, and knowing me...I'd ruin the whole thing! Lol.

I then added an orange/yellow flower to the top of the box and white pearl trim around the side of the lid. Also, inside the bottom of the box is an extra piece cut for the bottom to give it more stability.
With the paper (Graphic45) being double-sided, it made it a lot easier to work with and not have to worry about whether or not I was folding the right direction and then having to re-fold. Been there!

I hope you will join us for this week's challenge! Beautiful colors, springy-looking, and lots of fun!

Thank you for stopping by!

JessicaLynnOriginal Italian Greyhound Card #1

Hello, everyone! JessicaLynnOriginal is launching another stamp set! This one is the Italian Greyhound Stamp Set, which will launch May 6th. Pre-ordering begins today! Here is the set:

I'm excited to be a part of this team! So doing these cards is a real pleasure for me! Look at all the different stamps to this set! Awesome! Now let me share with you the first of my 3 cards. And be sure to come back to check out the other 2 cards that I will be sharing!
I found this awesome tutorial via Pinterest on making animal cards. It's called a starburst card. It looked unique enough for me to want to try it out, so I did. And it was so much easier than it looks! Here is the link to the tutorial.  I hope you try it out!

For my card, I decided to use the stamp that has both the kitty and the greyhound. They totally look like buddies here! I used my markers to color them in. And then I added a sentiment from the stamp set up above the image.

I hope you enjoyed this card! Be sure to check out the other Design Team Members!

Be sure to check out Jessica's video about this cute stamp set HERE!

The Outlawz Color Challenge - March 28th

Hello, crafty pardners! We have started another Color Challenge over at The Outlawz! This month we have the fabulous

DigiStamps4Joy as our sponsor!
This months prize is $10 to spend in their store!

I hope that you will join in on the fun! Below is the Photo Inspiration for this week by fellow DT member, Cara. Isn't it gorgeous??

Photo Inspiration
Now, about my card. I decided I'd do an easel card for this week. I've done a few here lately, but this one was just slightly different in that the back piece is larger. The photo led me to trying to make a stain glass window for the back. I've done 1 before, and it worked great! Only this time, I didn't have all the materials I used last time. So, I improvised. While it looked okay, it sure didn't "float my boat". I decided to take that piece and cut out a butterfly with my Big Shot.

I may be able to explain to you somewhat how I did it, but it was quite an accident that it worked! Lol! But I did use distress inks to paint strips of colors on heavy vellum from Paper Temptress. Then I used a black marker to make various lines through the different colors to make squares, rectangles....as you seen in the inspiration photo. I also left some white. I then put a clear sticky sheet over the "stain glass", but....since I wasn't happy with the result, I decided to go ahead cut out a butterfly, just to see if it would look better in another form. It worked! What I discovered was that there was a stickiness to that side with the colors! Maybe I put it on wrong...I'm not sure. But, I made it work by sprinkling very fine white glitter over the butterfly, shake off the excess, and rubbed the remainder into the butterfly to make it stick better. I was pretty happy with it by that time!

It was after the butterfly that I colored my image, Hello Bunny, from Digistamps4joy. She's adorable! I once again used my Prismacolors to color her in. I cut her out using my Silhouette Portrait and also cut out the easel card and it's mounting pieces with it. Then it was a matter of putting all the layers together and embellishing it.

I hope you do join us this week! And thank you for stopping by!

JessicaLynnOriginal Reveal Card #3

Hello, fellow stampers! Today is my 3rd and final Reveal for the Jessica Lynn Original Mason Jar set! And of the 3 that I made, this one is my favorite! I love doing tags...I'm sure I've mentioned that somewhere before...lol...and I love pink! Here's a picture of what's in the set:
And here is my project:

Close Up of Tag
As you can see, I have sort of a Mixed Media thing going on here. I used my Silhouette to cut out the bottom and top layers of the tag. Then I used my Gelatos to color up the top layer, and then used a stencil to spread texture paste all over it. Before it had a chance to dry, I added glass glitter all over the top, pressed it in slightly (be careful! it's sharp), and then used my heat gun to dry it. I loved the effect of the glass glitter. I also used Glossy Accents on the buttons and the little garden home to give it some shine. The butterfly applique is from KPKre8tions and the pink background paper with the pink ribbon are from Paper Temptress
