While we were stationed in Germany, my husband got to go with his co-workers (spouses weren't invited...insert sad face here!). So this is "next best thing", Lol! Here it is:

Isn't it a beautiful kit?? Those colors match my craft studio perfectly!! Lots of Mod Podge on this one, and lots of gorgeous papers!!

TaylorMadeCards4U Father's Day Project - Gone Fishin'

Hello, fellow crafters! I'm so excited to share with you my newest project as a DT with TaylorMadeCards4U!  For this project, I am using a new digital kit called Gone Fishin'.   I don't do a lot of masculine cards, but this one was so fun to make! Here is what I worked with:

These papers are awesome! I love the "texture" of the pieces and the vintage feel of the papers. I have to tell you....I fished a lot more than my dad did (which wasn't much, but my dad never went fishing, as far as I know). So some of the fondest memories I have of fishing, are when my children and I went fishing while my husband was stationed overseas. I couldn't force myself to put minnows on the hook, but somehow I managed to put the worms on. I think of it now and I'm......"UGH!" But whether or not your dad fishes, these papers make an excellent Father's Day card.

Now here is my card, with tags inside for photos:

I printed out my papers on heavy cardstock, using my HP Envy Printer. It prints great, and these turned out fabulous! They look like I bought them at the store! My base foundation is a Kraft paper, because I felt like it would look great for a masculine card. I then cut out all the pieces and distressed the edges with Ink Oxide Walnut Stain. I even decided the back of the card could use decorating! :)

Here is a video process of the card:

Take a look around at Monica's Shop (TaylorMadeCards4U). There's a lot of beautiful papers to choose from!

Thanks for stopping by!

Guest Designer Project for TaylorMadeCards4U - Envelope Mini-Album

Hello, fellow crafters! Thank you so much for stopping in! Today I'm excited to share with you a project that I did as a Guest Designer for TaylorMadeCards4U.comWhat a beautiful set of papers I got to work with - My Mother's Garden Digital Kit! I also want to mention that TaylorMadeCards4U are also sponsoring Crafter's Castle Challenges for the month of April!

Below is a video on how I made this album:

My mother has been gone over 30 years now, so this brought a little joy, a few tears to my eyes, in remembering my mother. And one of the things I remember the most about my mom, was that she absolutely LOVED roses! She had rose bushes everywhere! She never ever used any kind of chemical on them to make them grow....they just grew in abundance!

Before my mom passed away, we drove by her house and there was not one rose on any of the bushes (we were stationed at an Army base at the time). The next thing I heard was my mom exclaiming..."Oh! My roses!" and I thought, oh no, she's going to be sad because there aren't any roses....and the next statement she made threw me for a loop. She said, "Aren't they beautiful!?"

I truly believe this was God allowing her to see her roses that she cherished one last time, as she went on to Heaven 2 weeks later. What a memory for me! So I dedicate this project to my Mom and rose lovers everywhere! I hope this will inspire you to create too!

Be sure to check out Monica's new shop as she has moved from Etsy. TAYLORMADECARDS4U
Although I didn't use the layered rose sheet, I will be soon!

I hope that you find this inspirational and that you will come back for more inspiration!
