MLCCB #45 Anything Christmas Goes

Hello, everyone! And welcome to my blog! Today, I'm excited to share with you my card as a new Designer with Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog (or MLCCB). I've been wanting to get on a Christmas team, but with all the sicknesses I have dealt with for several months, I just wasn't able to do any searches. And now that I'm feeling better, I have become one of the designers over at MLCCB! :)

So, here it is, July 1st (can this be right??), and we begin our challenge #45. Be sure to check out the blog and enter! It'll be fun!

I started by making a fairly simple Christmas card. Here it is:

First I made a base for my card. And....because I got the new hot foil glimmer machine, I of course had to use it! I wanted this to be an all foil card, so I did the sentiment in blue, with the pine leaves. I also used a Sizzix die to cut out an oval frame using gold foil paper from Paper Temptress. I got the foil plates from Spellbinders

It was a pretty simple card, but with the foil it gives it a class of elegance (I hope!). I hope that this card will inspire you to join us for this challenge! It can be ANYTHING CHRISTMAS, not just cards! Most of all, just have fun!

Blessings! Until next time,

Christmas Card

Hi crafters! I wanted to share with you a card I made for a friend of mine. I'm afraid it might not make it there in time for Christmas....but I sure hope it does!

First off, I want to tell you that I got the idea from a card on a Pinterest Board, a board by Create with Connie and Mary. I never could find the directions to the card, but I tried to duplicate as much as possible and added some of my own elements to it. The card they made is gorgeous! I wish I had that stamp, too! Anyway, here is my card:

At first, I made the card without the butterfly and the flowers, because I wanted to enter them into a couple of Facebook challenges, and then I added some more elements. As you can see, the base card has been embossed with a snow and bell theme. I embossed the tree with my Zing silver embossing powder, and also the banner sentiment. I mounted the tree with 3D foam circles onto another sheet of white mounting paper, then placed that on top of the silver glitter paper. I added a bow, butterfly, and 3 flowers onto the top right of the card. The flowers are from Secret Garden Crafts and the butterfly and Diamond Glass Glitter is from Reneabouquets.

I hope you enjoyed this little project of mine! And thank you so much for stopping by!

SheepSki Designs Christmas Fairy Twist Card

Hello! Welcome to my blog! Today, I just had to share with you this cute little new fairy I got from SheepSki Designs, titled Christmas Fairy.  She is just so cute, wanting to touch the Christmas Ornament on that tree! I had a lot of fun coloring her! I decided to make her into a Twist Card. Here is my card:

I used my Silhouette to cut out the card shapes, then colored her in with my Prismacolors, used Distress Oxide (Candied Apple), then used glitter on her wings, around her, and the ornament. I pre-printed the sentiment on the top mounting piece before cutting it out, using my Silhouette.

I hope that you enjoy it, and thank you for stopping by! By the way, there is also a coupon code over at her Etsy shop, so be sure to check that out!
