Papercraft Business - To Give as a Gift

Hello once again! I'm so glad you stopped in! I'm here today to share with you another monthly project with Papercraft Business Challenge Blog! This month, our theme is To Give as a Gift! So I made a memo pad with a card, as a stocking stuffer for someone special (no names yet...lol). Here is what I made:

Memo Pad with Card

This was something I learned how to do via YouTube (gotta love YouTube!). Of course, I added my own papers, etc, but the basic plan was from YouTube. The papers are from the Holiday Cheer Paper Collection from Close to My Heart (jeanieellis.closetomyheart.com). I hope that you'll check that out too!

Now let's take a look at this awesome stamp made by Magnolia:

Be sure to check out all the designers projects! We have one pretty awesome team!

Papercraft Business Challenge - Up in the Air

Hello, crafty friends! Today begins a new monthly challenge over at the Papercraft Business Challenge Blog! Our theme for this month is....UP IN THE AIR! What a fun thing to work on! Before you read on, check to see if you were a winner for last month's challenge over at the Papercraft Blog! Here is the prize for this month's challenge:
What great projects you could make with this one! Now on to my project:

For this challenge, I decided to go with a tag. I already had in my stash some Julie Netting product, which included a wooden doll with a kite. I should have taken a before picture of it, but I forgot.  So I've linked it to the Prima website HERE. This is the tag I made:
For the tag base, I used some of the pre-cut tags from Julie Nutting. I got out my Distress Oxide Inks...LOVE them...and added various colors. I then got out my wooden doll and kite and colored them with my Spectrum Noir color markers. With that done, I added some stamps and embellishments. Instead of adding lace at the bottom, I just used a floral acrylic stamp. And she was done! Easy peasy, right? (Although the ink seemed to bleed a little, it ended up better than I thought it would.)

I hope that you will join us for the July challenge! Up in the Air could mean anything....a kite, a butterfly, a plane, etc....You choose and show us what you created! Thank you for stopping by!

Papercraft Business Challenge #8 - Anything Goes!

Hello, fellow crafters! Today begins the new challenge (#8) for the month of July over at Papercraft Business Challenge Blog! We have an awesome prize to give away, too! A Magnolia Doohickey Tilda Doily!

I decided that, rather than making a card this time around, I would make a Julie Nutting tag, using some elements from a kit I had bought. Here is my tag:
I used some Tim Holtz Ink Oxides for the background and then sprinkled a little bit of water onto the tag. I then stamped a "paragraph" stamp onto the top of that. I colored my wooden Julie Nutting doll with alcohol markers, set her aside a bit to dry, and then found embellishments I wanted to use with her. After she dried, I cut a flower in half, glued them onto each side of the tag, then added her. The laces, etc, didn't take long to put together since I already had out what I wanted to use.

I hope that you will join us for this month's challenge! And check out each of the Design Teams projects! THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!
