Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #229 - Add a Flower!

(This challenge begins March 9th, 2022)

Welcome to another Crafty Gals Corner Challenge This challenge theme is Add a Flower! Our sponsor for this challenge is......

Prize ~  $10 Gift Certificate

So for this challenge, I went with a beautiful image called Mum's Blossoms. And it was a freebie! How awesome is that?? Here is my card:

I love coloring flowers. There was a time when I didn't enjoy coloring flowers, but I've been practicing. :) To start off, I printed off my image on my laser printer, then I colored it with the Spectrum Noir color markers. I used a gel pen to color in my sentiment. I then used that same pen and put little dots around the flower, just to use as a filler. I then mounted it on a red glossy paper from Paper Temptress, a wonderful company that has an amazing variety of cardstock. Once that was done, I mounted the pieces onto the white cardstock foundation. And she was done! I did add a sentiment inside also.

I do hope that you will join us for this month's challenge! We love looking at the different ways of using our theme of the month!

Have a wonderful and blessed day,
Jeanie Ellis - Scrapbookingmamaw

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #228 - Add a Heart!

Hello, fellow crafty people! I am soooo very glad and thankful to be back! After being out for awhile due to illnesses, I am finally able to craft again. I'm a little bit shaky, but at least I'm able to try! So, on to the Crafty Gals Corner ChallengeThe theme for this challenge is:

Add a Heart

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

Prize ~ 3 Single Digital Images

Now on to my card from Stampers Delights, Rose 1 . Here it is:
Considering the fact I hadn't colored in awhile and was so sick, I think it looks pretty good. I love doing flowers, and this one is a perfect digital for someone who loves flowers. I used my Tri-Blends to color the image. Once I was done and had my foundation with my matting pieces cut out, I embossed the sides of the colored paper with an embossing folder, and distressed the raised areas of the embossed part.

I then put 3D foam dots underneath the flower to give it more dimension. Adding the hearts was easy to do and gave it more eye appeal. I then added glittered rhinestones.

I do hope you enjoy this project and that you will join us over at Crafty Gals Corner Challenges! The prizes are awesome!

Until next time, Many blessings,

She was fun to color. After I colored her, I simply added her onto a slimline mat, and then the white foundation...added to yellow gems, and a little gold bow. Simple, yet effective....I hope you think so too! :)

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #223

Hello, fellow crafters! It is already time for another new challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner Challenge Blog! This month's theme is

 Hello Fall

Our amazing sponsors for this month are:

Prize ~ 2 Digital Images

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

SheepSki Designs
Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

For my card this month, I chose a cute image with some bees and a flower called Buzzing! I love this little image! Here is my card:

SheepSki Designs

I colored the image with my TriBlend Markers. I happened to have some "insect" paper so it was easy to find the perfect background for my card. After I colored and mounted the background paper, I placed my image on and added a sentiment. I figured...in my opinion, anyway...that the bees' wings needed to have some shine to them, so I used Diamonds Stickles glitter glue. I simply mounted everything together and it was done! Cards don't have to be complicated to be pretty, right?

I hope that you will join us for this month's challenge! And be sure to join us next month, too!

Blessings,

Happy Birthday Card

Hello, crafters! I am here today to share another creation. A high school friend of mine (I won't say how long ago....), wanted me to make a birthday card for her sister.  She mentioned that she liked flowers and cooking. I chose the flower because, well, I love flowers better than cooking! Lol!

I take classes with a company called Kit and Clowder. This image was one of the free classes. I used TriBlend Markers from https://jeanieellis.closetomyheart.com to color the image.

Here is the card I made:

I hope you enjoy this project! I'm entering this card over at

The Lighthouse - Createful Heart Designs

Hello, fellow crafters! It's been awhile since I've posted something besides a design team project, so today I decided I'd do it! This card is from a digital company called Createful Heart Designs, The Lighthouse. I absolutely love this image! Here it is:

I actually used a couple of mediums on this card to get the colors to blend in the way I wanted to blend. I used a combination of color markers and ink pads (from Close to My Heart). The clouds were easy, believe it or not! I just tore a paper, unevenly, and used that as my guide for my clouds. I would angle in different ways. Easy Peasy!

So there you have it! I hope you enjoy it! Thank you for stopping in!

Blessings,
Jeanie Ellis - Scrapbookingmamaw
