Papercraft Challenge - October - Tag You're It!

Hello, fellow crafters! Today is the mid-month reminder of our challenge over at Papercraft Business Blog!  Be sure to read over the rules, as they have been slightly changed. We have an awesome prize for the winner of October's Challenge, but first let me share with you my Tag.

So I decided on this one, that I wasn't going to use an image, but use what supplies I had in my stash. Sometimes we forget the items there, so I wanted to be sure to use them. I first layered the tag with some paper, then added some lace from KPKre8tions. (Be sure to check her out...she has some amazing things!) I then added my embellishments on top of that, and then the ribbon for hanging.

Now let me share with you, the Prize: Magnolia Doohickey's

Be sure to click on the blue button to enter your project on the challenge blog! See you there!

Splashy Mix Media October Challenge!

We have a new Splashy Mix Challenge for the month of October! And it's a beautiful board! You can create any mixed media project taking inspiration from the below moodboard. We would love to see what inspired you,
hence please mention it in your post. Here is the board:

Please be sure to read the guidelines on the SMC site! Now take a look at what I have created for you this month! I hope it will inspire you!
Let me tell you a bit about my project. First off, I got the gorgeous canvas background from a website called KPKre8tions.  And you see that beautiful gold mask in the top right corner? That applique is also from her shop. She makes some of the most beautiful art! And with that said, those 2 pieces were perfect for this awesome moodboard! I waited a long time to use the canvas piece, as I wanted the perfect way to create with it.

The gold, gray, and white papers (Celebrate and the cake) are from a company called Paper Temptress. Be sure to check them out too! I added flowers and lots of lace to this piece. In a couple of years, my husband and I will be married 50 years!! Yes, 50 years! I can hardly believe it myself! Maybe this can be used as a part of my decorations for a celebration? Perhaps!

I had so much fun with this moodboard. Shylaa always creates some gorgeous ones! I used all 3 elements from the board: the mask, the cake, and the rose. Plus the 3 colors I saw were gold, gray, and white.

I hope that you will join us for this month's challenge! Now be sure to check out our amazing sponsors and prizes listed below! And happy crafting!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge - #146

Hello, everyone! And welcome to another Crafty Gals Corner Challenge!  For this week, we have 2 awesome sponsors of our Anything Goes challenge! They are:

Prize ~ 1 Digital Image

Prize ~ 4 Digital Images

For my project, I decided to make a Tag this time, rather than a card. Tags are one of my favorite things to do. So I used an image from Delicious Doodles, Lovely Lillies. To start off with, I wanted to get the shape of my tag down, so I used my Silhouette Portrait for this. I chose a shape with 2 layers. I added a pattern paper from the SIL on both layers, combined them, and did a print and cut. I had already colored my image using my Prismacolors. I love red, so my lilies became the deep red you see Here:
I used all the laces and wedding appliques from the Facebook Group, Lighthouse Stop n' Shop (check them out...great prices) and the flowers in the corner are from Secret Garden Crafts. The leaf applique in the corner is from Kimberly of KPKre8tions. I used hot glue to adhere my embellishments on.

So there you have it. A finished tag! I am happy with the colors of it...hopefully I'll get to trade it with someone soon!

Be sure to check out the challenge! There's a new one every week! And thanks for stopping by!

Outlawz Color Challenge - Oct 24, 2017

Welcome to another Color Challenge over at The OutlawzThis month our Sponsor is

Our winner will get 3 digis from the store!
This week, our Photo Inspiration was chosen by DT Member, Jeanie (hey! That's me!). And here is the image I chose as inspiration with a Twist of FALLAUTUMN, using at least 3 colors:

I love this image. I thought it was perfect for this time of the year. So for my card, I chose to use the Fairy-tale Princess. I could have used the pre-colored image, but I wanted to go ahead and color mine....although I saw that it still was basically the same colors! Lol! Oh well....

Here is my card:
I tried to give her some glitter by using Diamond Glass Glitter on her shoes, fan, and bow, plus some Micro-beads, all from Reneabouquets store. I also added applique leaves that I got from Kimberly's Zibbet Store, KPKre8tions

I hope that you will come and join us for this week's challenge! It's always fun to try to see what you can come up with when you use specific colors!

Thanks for stopping by!

Outlawz Color Challenge - August 29th

Hello, crafters! Today starts a new Color Challenge over at The Outlawz! For the month of August, we have the amazing Mari Digis!

Our winner will get the 3 digis that our team have to play with.
For this week's challenge, we have an Anything But a Card theme, as long as you use the colors in the inspiration, which is:

4 colours anything but a card
Colors are Burgundy, sparkly Gold, Tan and Cream

Now let me show you what I've created for this week: An Altered Spool. I had a lot of fun with this one! Here it is:
Before I was able to put any paint or paper on, I had to Gesso both the spool and the stand I was going to put it on. After that was dried, I did the painting on the spool: top, bottom, and edging. I then took another color of the "tannish" paint and painted the stand for the base. Before adhering the spool to the stand, I went ahead and decorated it with paper, lace, bead charms I made, and a rose, plus a lot of bling on the top of the spool. That shine in the picture is actually from the stones, not an edited in shine. I then adhered the spool onto the stand. The gold butterfly was actually white to begin with, but I used spray mists and colored her up (butterfly is from KPKre8tions). I hot glued the red rose onto the butterfly after I had hot glued the butterfly onto the stand. And there you have it!

I hope you join us for this week's challenge! And thanks for stopping by! Feel free to leave me a comment (I read every one of them).

Blessings, Jeanie Ellis - Scrapbookingmamaw
