Crafty Gals Corner Challenge - January 2020

Oh my goodness! Has 2019 already come and gone?? I can't believe we've already started a brand new year....2020!! I hope that last year was good to you, and that this New Year will bring you a lot of blessings!

So for this Crafty Gals Corner January challenge, we are "celebrating" winter! Our theme for this challenge is:
Winter Fun

And our sponsor for this challenge is:

Prize: 3 Digital Stamps

Wow! Did you see that the winner will receive 3 Digital Stamps as the prize? I hope that you will join us for your chance to win the prize! Now let's check out what I made for this month's challenge. I used an image called Penguin Friends.  I think the penguins are just so adorable!  Here's my card:

I love the sentiment for this card! It was perfect for the image! Although I'm not a big fan of winter/cold weather, cuddling is one of the benefits for staying warm throughout the season! (I don't know if I really need a reason to just hug, as I am a huggy kind of person anyway...lol.)

My card is pretty CAS. I basically just mounted her onto a card foundation with 2 colors, black and pink. I hope the pink is showing up for you ok. I'm working with 2 monitors, and the one is more pink than the other.

I originally had her in blues, but for some reason it didn't set well with me. I like the pink better, in this case. I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color her.

I hope that you will find this inspiration for you to join our challenge! Thanks for stopping in!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenges - Halloween Colors!

Hello, fellow crafters! And welcome back to another challenge with Crafty Gals Corner Challenges! This week the challenge is: Halloween Colours.  Our sponsors this week are:

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

Prize ~ $15 Gift Certificate

While I don't celebrate Halloween, I do love the colors! They're such fun! So here is my card using an image from Lacy Sunshine, Rory's orchids!

She was such a fun image to color! I thought the colors went very nicely with her, giving her an auburn red hair to go along with the theme. I used a Kraft card base, and hunter green and white cardstock to be the mounting pieces. My sister had given me some beautiful glitter washi tape, so I thought those would look great as a finished background.

I hope you found this to inspire you to create and enter into our challenge! See you there! And thanks for stopping by!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #164 - Anything Goes!

Hello everyone! It's time for another challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner Challenges! This one is #164 - Anything Goes! This week we have 3 amazing sponsors! They are:

Polkadoodles
Prize ~ $15 Gift Certificate

Lemon Shortbread
Prize ~ 3 Digital images

OddBall Art
Prize ~ 3 Digital images

How awesome is that??!! Three sponsors for this week! So now I want to share with you my project for this bi-weekly challenge! My image is from Lemon Shortbread Digital Stamps called Butterfly Girl. And I absolutely love her! Since this is an Anything Goes challenge, I decided this time around I'd make a tag. I love making tags, and my supply of them are proof! Haha! So here she is:

Without going into a lot of detail, I simply cut her out and colored her in with my Prismacolors. I used my Silhouette to cut the open design tag out and covered the back of it. I also added lace, and colored a Scrapiniec Chipboard I got from Crafty City. I then added all my embellishments and my sentiment, along with some lace and pearls.

I sure hope that you come join us in this challenge! Lots of prizes to go around! And thank you so much for stopping by!

Createful Heart Digis & Designs Challenge #8!

Hello, crafters! Today I want to share with you my card I made for Createful Heart Digis & Designs, Challenge #8, using: Country Sara (1 of a set of 2)! She was such fun to work with! Here she is:

As you can see, I used a lot of glitter paper in my card. Winter makes me think of snow and ice, and when the sun shines down on all that, it's all SPARKLY!! And I love sparkly....but not ice, though!

So the foundation of the card was made with white cardstock. I then layered the silver glitter paper on top of that to give full coverage on the front of the card. I then added strips of blue glitter paper on the top and bottom. I colored Sara and kitty with Prismacolors and trimmed her outfit with Stickles. I added some blue snowflakes I had in my stash and added a sentiment "Winter Fun", since the theme for this challenge is Winter.

And there you have it! I hope that you will join our challenge! You just might be a winner!!

Createful Hearts Digis & Designs - Challenge #6

Hello, fellow crafters! Today I want to share with you that Createful Hearts Digis & Designs has begun a new Anything Goes challenge today! So that means I want to share with you what I did for this project, using one of Mary's images (of course!).

I went with one of Mary's newer images, Cynthia 1920 Chic. I'm telling ya, this Flapper Girl is so pretty! One of my faves! Now let me show you what I did with her:
Of course, the first thing I did was to print and cut her out with my Silhouette. Then I decided on what colors I wanted her to be in, using my Prismacolors. Then I used different colors of Stickles to put "dimension" on the beads in her cap. Once finished with her, I cut out another piece for a "frame" around her, and mounted that on top of a black card base. I added some wedding applique from the Facebook Group, Lighthouse stop n' shop.  There's a ton of lace in there, for very reasonable prices!

After that was done, I simply added a sentiment and she was finished! I hope you like her!

Thanks for stopping by!

Outlawz Color Challenge October 17th

Hello, fellow crafters! We have a new week for our Color Challenge over at The Outlawz! This month we have the amazing talents of Fabrika Fantasy as our sponsor! Cara, fellow DT member, has chosen this photo as our inspiration for this week:
Isn't that a beautiful picture? So irridescent, too! So for this project, I went with the Betta Fish Crowntail. I had the option of using a pre-colored digital, but this time I wanted to go ahead and color this little cutie so it would go more along the lines of the photo inspiration. Here it is:

As you hopefully can see here, the color of the fish represents those tones in the inspiration. I saw some irridescent blues in there too, so I thought the water effect on the background and on the body of the fish would be perfect for that. Also, the shape of the beads in the photo led me to using the circular shapes and the golds.

I hope that you will join us this week! The Design Team have come up with a variety of cards for you to be inspired by....many of which used the fish image!

Thank you for stopping by!
