Outlawz Color Challenge 9/12

Hello, crafters! I hope and pray that everyone is staying safe out there! Today I want to share with you my card for this week's Color Challenge over at The Outlawz!  Our sponsor for this month is the very talented Andrea Norris of...

Our winner will get 3 digis from the store!
And our PHOTO INSPIRATION IS...

Now, I know that mine is more of a yellow in color, because that's what my screen showed. But then looking at it another angle...after I had it all colored...it totally changed on me. (Yes, I'm sticking to that excuse!) Anyway, here is my card for this week, using Snowman Selfie
This is really a pretty simple card (for me, anyway). I used green as the foundation for the card front, and printed out my Snowmen on white cardstock to color, using my Prismacolors. I then matted them onto the front of the card and trimmed around the edging. I added snowflakes on the 4 corners, using 3 small ones and 1 large one and adhered a rhinestone onto each one.

Simple! I had such fun coloring these fellas!! I hope you join us in this week's challenge! Thanks for stopping by!

Accordion Mini Album Facebook Challenge

Hello, crafty peeps! I hope that you're having a wonderful day! Today I want to share with you a project I did with a Facebook group, Cardstock & Bling. Since I had never made an accordion album before, this was a real challenge for me! Thank goodness they provided a tutorial link! Whew! Here is a link for that YouTube channel: Kim Kan't Stop Krafting. If you do decide to make this awesome little album, be sure to watch it through first, as it has some pointers in there.

Here is my album, using some Prima paper. For the life of me, I can't remember the name of it and I no longer have the cover to the pad. (insert sad face here....)

Double Pocket Inserts w/Magnetic Inserts

Because this posting includes a tutorial on the making of this album, I won't go into that kind of details. But suffice it to say, it was challenging at times, but I really enjoyed it. The tutorial was very well made. I do plan on making more!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Outlawz Color Challenge - Sept 5th

Hello, crafters! Today began a new Color Challenge over at The Outlawz! And for this month, we have a new sponsor: the amazing SheepSki Designs!

Our winner will get 3 digis from the store!
Here is our Photo Inspiration picked out by our very own Kimberly Pate:

Now let me share with you what I made and the image I used:

I did use my Prismacolors for this image. And since the inspiration photo had the yellow in it, I decided to go with the yellow flowers. I mounted the image and embellishments onto a piece of Kraft paper. Under the image itself is a piece of gold metallic "mesh" someone had given me. I kept wondering what I was going to do with it...and voila! There you have it! It makes a great piece for under the image! The butterfly is from Reneabouquets, along with the Diamond Glass Glitter on the flowers.

I can't wait to see what you create for this week's challenge! And thanks for stopping by!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenges #138 - Anything Goes

Hello once again, crafty peeps! We've started a new week of challenges here at Crafty Gals Corner. And we hope you will join us! For this week, our sponsors are:

Prize: 4 Digital Images
 &
Prize: 3 Digital Images

I was very excited to do the image I chose this week's project. She's gorgeous! And I know there were are lot of things I could have made with her, but she just needed to be the main feature on a card, in my opinion. She would also look great on a tag (hmmmm....next time?). So, here is my card, using Beautiful Blossom by Delicious Doodles.
I used all Prismacolors on her, leaving her dress a white. I wanted her to have red hair, so I gave her several layers of red, then took an eraser and put in some highlights in her hair. I thought yellow would go great with her, especially because of the green leaves, so I did the flowers and the butterfly in yellow with highlights of black, added some lace with yellow in it, and adhered some flowers I got from Secret Garden Crafts. And she was done! No added bling like I normally do....

Thank you for stopping by! I do hope you join us in this week's challenge!

Outlawz Color Challenge - August 29th

Hello, crafters! Today starts a new Color Challenge over at The Outlawz! For the month of August, we have the amazing Mari Digis!

Our winner will get the 3 digis that our team have to play with.
For this week's challenge, we have an Anything But a Card theme, as long as you use the colors in the inspiration, which is:

4 colours anything but a card
Colors are Burgundy, sparkly Gold, Tan and Cream

Now let me show you what I've created for this week: An Altered Spool. I had a lot of fun with this one! Here it is:
Before I was able to put any paint or paper on, I had to Gesso both the spool and the stand I was going to put it on. After that was dried, I did the painting on the spool: top, bottom, and edging. I then took another color of the "tannish" paint and painted the stand for the base. Before adhering the spool to the stand, I went ahead and decorated it with paper, lace, bead charms I made, and a rose, plus a lot of bling on the top of the spool. That shine in the picture is actually from the stones, not an edited in shine. I then adhered the spool onto the stand. The gold butterfly was actually white to begin with, but I used spray mists and colored her up (butterfly is from KPKre8tions). I hot glued the red rose onto the butterfly after I had hot glued the butterfly onto the stand. And there you have it!

I hope you join us for this week's challenge! And thanks for stopping by! Feel free to leave me a comment (I read every one of them).

Createful Heart Digis & Designs Card

Hello! I hope you're having a great and crafty day! I am on the Design Team of Createful Heart Digis & Designs, but when I saw one of Mary's (the owner) newest digi, I just had to have it! So I want to share it with you today. Here she is, Vintage Angel

This is one of my faves! I used all Prismacolors on her. The background paper is a Silhouette design I printed out and cut to the size I needed. The butterfly was also printed and cut from my Silhouette. I did add flowers from Secret Garden Crafts (Archana Joshi's shop). I hot glued a strand of pearls around the image to give her more of a focus.

And....just an FYI here....there's a challenge going on over at Createful Heart! The first one ever! So be sure to drop in and enter! There are prizes to be given away!

Thank you for stopping by!
