Crafty Gals Corner #114 - Use Buttons!

Hello, fellow crafty peeps! It's a new week of Challenges over here at Crafty Gals Corner! I sure hope you will join us! But before I show you my project, here's a "word" from our sponsors! 😉

All Dressed Up
Prize: 2 Digital Images

Cute as a Button

Prize: 3 Digital Images

To qualify for your entry, be sure to use Buttons on your project. It can be anything! For this challenge, I made a Wall Hanging. The image I used is  Sewing Susan by Cute as a Button. I love Cute as a Button images! They're...well...CUTE!
All the die cuts and the image were cut out using my Silhouette Portrait. That machine has been a lifesaver! The process was a matter of cutting out chipboard (any size will do...mine is 8x8), layering the top of it with designer print paper, layer pieces of paper over that if you want, coloring and cutting out my image, and embellishing it....with lots of buttons! Okay...maybe I over did it a bit, but buttons seemed perfect for this image!

Come join us for this fun challenge! And thanks for stopping by!

Tsunami Rose Designs Mixed Media Tags

Hello, fellow crafters! It's time once again to share with you another DT project I did for Tsunami Rose Designs! This time I make a Mixed Media Tag. TRD has such beautiful digital papers! I'm amazed by the quality of these designs! For this tag set, I used the Rose Noteworthy Digital Printables. Here are photos of my project:
Large Tag with Pocket Insert & Tags with Envelopes

Tag showing Pocket
Tags with Decorated Envelopes

Tags - Die Cuts are on 3D Foam Squares

Back of Tag

Supplies: Chipboard (4x6"), Digital Design Papers, Digital Die Cuts, Stencil, Texture Paste, Lace, Pearl Drop Trim, Tags, White Litty Bitty Bags, and Twine (Whisker Graphics).

I started off by cutting down a black chipboard to 4"x6", then layered it with one of the digital journal prints (#15 in the kit), from TRD. I then took page 3 of the add-ons and fussy cut out one of the roses to make a large "die cut". Once I adhered those 2 layers on, I took my Rose stencil (Prima) and spread my texture paste on it. I set that aside, and began creating my tags I got from Whisker Graphics. I took one of the add-ons (#13) and adhered the paper to the tags, adding a die cut with 3D Foam Squares on each one. My die cuts were all cut from the Ephemera Kit 14 page 13. I then used my hole punch and added twine (Whisker Graphics) through the holes.

I decorated the 2 Litty Bitty Bags with a musical note on one and a sentiment on the other, also adding die cuts from the same Ephemera Kit. Once I was done with those and knew the stenciling was dried, I added the lace, pearl trim, and a pocket with a die cut onto the front of the card. You'll also see that I decorated the back, as I didn't want to leave it bare.

I hope you enjoy this and visit Tsunami Rose Designs Etsy Store! Here are some other great links to follow TRD!

Outlawz Color Challenge March 14th

Howdy, crafty "pardners"! It's time for a new Color Challenge starting today, over at The Outlawz! I hope you will join us! For this week, I got to choose the choices of colors. And, since St. Patricks Day is this week, guess what? Add a clover! At least one...it can be more if you want.
Photo Inspiration

I wanted to do something a little different this week, so I decided to do an Accordion Fold Card. Here it is:
Front of Card

Inside of Card, with Tags in the Pockets

Now, again, I used my Silhouette Portrait to do all the cutting. This machine has been a great help to me, as I have arthritis in my hands, and they get very painful if I do too much cutting. So I'm totally loving my machine! Everything was done with the machine, except for the little photo/journal mounts. Those were done with my Big Shots. Then it was just a matter of decorating it. I did use chipboard for the front and the back of the card, because I wanted it to be very sturdy.

I hope you join us in this week's challenge! It can be anything...digital, mixed media, tags, cards, etc.....as long as you follow the color scheme!

Thank you for stopping by! Be sure to come back! Almost every day I have something new to share with you. 😀

Hello, crafters! Today I want to share with you a card I made using my Silhouette Portrait! I think the only thing that wasn't cut with it, were the 3 rhinestone clover embellishments and the very back extra "card". Here is the card:

This is the extra piece I put on the back
This is a card I entered in at a Facebook page, Closet of Krafty Kre8ters, which is a St. Patrick's Day card challenge.
